Joshua Christian, a Brooklyn man, was ordered to stay away from singer Taylor Swift. He was accused of stalking A love story singer at his home in Tribeca and “across various states”. He was reportedly busted Friday and charged with stalking and criminal trespass, the NYPD said.
Page Six reported that Joshua went to Taylor’s Franklin Street property in March and last month, police said. A prosecutor argued at Christian’s trial Saturday night in Manhattan criminal court, “The defendant has not only repeatedly shown up at Ms. Swift’s home here in New York but has gone to her home in Tennessee as well.”
According to the assistant district attorney, Joshua Christian allegedly yelled something on June 12 into the intercom of Swift’s Tribeca Franklin Street home., “You’re dead you know. You are holding him prisoner and I have to free him”.
Christian, dressed in a head-to-toe white ensemble with a matching mask, chatted with his lawyer, prompting the judge to adjourn the case until night court began, the newspaper said.
The prosecutor added, “The public is also investigating additional incidents of stalking and is awaiting video surveillance to confirm the defendant’s identity”.

Joshua also demanded to ditch the court-appointed defense attorney and represent himself instead. At one point he turned to the courtroom and said, “Are you all the greatest comedians in history or are you for real? Prove who you really are. Prove who you really are”.
Joshua was previously arrested in Florida for “reckless driving” and did not waive his extradition there to answer a warrant.
Taylor’s owns many units in the Tribeca home on Franklin Street. He has also been the target of Christian stalking twice in recent months. In the second incident, which occurred just last month, Christian allegedly broke into the 155 Franklin Street building and allegedly threatened a 32-year-old woman over the intercom, according to police, The Post reported.
This is not the first time Swift has been targeted by stalkers. In 2018, a man allegedly broke into her Tribeca townhouse and fell asleep, according to authorities. That same year, according to CBS News, authorities arrested a Colorado man outside a Beverly Hills residence owned by Taylor. He carries knives, ropes, and bullets.
