On Friday evening, the “Blue Crush” actor took to Instagram to share an entire Instagram carousel full of photos from their trip to the Galapagos Islands for the actor’s 45th birthday.
“Since we met, I have heard you say two words, many times: Galápagos Islands. I know from your mother that, as a little boy, you used to study images in books of a land far, far away… and you would dream of visiting that place one day: a turtle and an iguana and a sea lion and a penguin ,” she wrote in the caption. “The colors of sea life that form underwater rainbows, and countless starfish that line the ocean floor, marine constellations.”

In his own Instagram post, the actor and his wife wore shirts promoting the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital as the two posed for some photos in Quito, Ecuador.
“On this 45th (??!) birthday, I feel so grateful to have so much love in my life and to have my health. I’ve been off my phone (and Instagram) the past few weeks exploring the AMAZING country of Ecuador – a childhood dream come true courtesy of my sweet and generous wife,” he wrote in the caption. “We are both very attached to @cmnhospitals for personal reasons and hope you will join us, if you can, in supporting the children’s hospital and the 12 million children treated each year #ChangeKidsHealth.”
