It seems both Justin Timberlake and Timbaland are looking to capitalize on the backlash they received from Britney Spears’ fans following the release of her memoir, “The Woman In Me.”
The now 41-year-old pop star reflected on allegations of infidelity and even an unplanned pregnancy when she dated the “Cry Me A River” singer from 1999 to 2002. Timbaland recently made headlines when he called the “Toxic” singer ” crazy” ” and joked that JT should have “put a muzzle” on him.
Both have been “cancelled” by Britney fans, but it looks like they’re hoping to turn things around with a new musical hit aimed at addressing the backlash they’ve faced over the past few weeks.

Although Justin Timberlake has kept quiet throughout the ordeal and retreated to Cabo with his family, it appears he may be teaming up with longtime collaborator Timbaland – real name Timothy Zachery Mosley – to write a new song as a “response to it all. [of] the haters.”
“Justin is her best friend and Tim will protect the relationship no matter what,” a source told the Daily Mail on Thursday night. “Everyone jumps to different conclusions right away, and Justin is an easy target right now.”

In her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” Britney revealed that she had an abortion at home because Justin “didn’t want to be a father.” He revealed that he didn’t go to the doctor because he was worried about the secret being leaked to the press. She admitted that she didn’t tell her family until she had already had an abortion at home using the pills her assistant gave her.
“It’s a shock, but for me, it’s not a tragedy. I love Justin so much. I always hope we have a family together one day. This will be sooner than I expected,” he wrote in his memoirs. “But Justin is definitely not happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were too young.”

After Britney Spears’ memoir was released, Timbaland hit back at JT by saying that he should have “put a muzzle” on the pop star to stop her from talking. He later sent an apology to X, a social media platform known as Twitter, to issue an apology that some fans called a “second insult.”
In the video, Timbaland said, “I apologize to all Britney’s fans, even to her. If he never saw… I’m sorry because the muzzle is… no. You have a voice and you speak what you want to speak. Who am I to tell you when not to speak and I was wrong to say it but I hope you look at it from… I look at it from a different lens.”
He concluded, “I’m sorry to Britney’s fans and her and yeah, you know, about respecting women, h— yeah.”
