The singer was so disturbed by her GQ issue that she took to social media to slam the publication for editing her photos beyond recognition. “I don’t even know where to start this message… Today my GQ magazine cover was announced, a cover with an image that does NOT represent me,” she began her message.
She accompanied the warning message with a photo of herself looking serious in a white robe and pink hair with platinum blonde highlights. “My face doesn’t look like this, my body doesn’t look like that and I feel very happy and comfortable with how I look naturally.”
In the post, Karol G whose real name is Carolina Giraldo Navarro attached a photo of a magazine cover that has a scary look about it. He was happy with the opportunity the magazine had given him but would also be remiss not to admit that they completely ignored his wishes.

The “TQG” singer shared with her fans that a conversation was held and there was an understanding that she was very happy with her natural look and did not need retouching. He slammed the publication for ignoring his wishes.
“Despite explaining my displeasure with the number of edits you made, they didn’t do anything about it, as if to look good I needed all those changes.” Karol focused on being a good role model, this move did not help that image.
“I understand the impact, but aside from feeling like it’s disrespectful to me, it’s to women that we wake up every day to feel comfortable with ourselves despite society’s stereotypes.”
Karol’s message resonated with fellow celebrities like singer Bebe Rexha who commented, “So beautiful.” Rapper The Game also encouraged Karol G, “who doesn’t look like you in anything my queen. you are naturally beautiful and whoever is responsible for that should be fired!!. ❤️.”

In addition to celebrity support, Karol G’s fans made sure he knew they agreed with him too. “Right,” wrote one fan. “Your natural beauty!” blow another.

The love that Karol G received made the singer feel great! He left “likes” and heart emojis under some comments. “Reina” is adored for her bravery, but in truth, Karol G has always been an advocate for showing off a healthy body.
In another post on her IG page, she has spoken out about loving her natural curves and her body the way it is. She posted unedited photos even though she was wearing a bikini. This is not a good look for GQ Mexico.
