Most Beckinsale fans or social media followers recognize Clive, Beckinsale’s Persian cat who recently passed away in June. To heal, he’s gone ahead and gotten his face tattooed on his arm, and the detail is absolutely stunning.
He captioned the image, “This is so helpful. Thank you so much,” adding the tattoo artist’s name.
Many celebrities added to their delight as Michelle Pfeiffer commented, “That’s so beautiful” and Kat Dennings also added, “I love it.”
Many fans also shared touching stories about their lives, like this, “it was an amazing honor. They made such an impact in their short time with us. I lost my Lab to cancer 9 years ago and I named my business after him. To this day, I call him my silent business partner.”
The actress who often dresses Clive in the most ridiculous outfits for the sweetest pictures also posted about the passing of her beloved pet, writing “Clive is dead. I don’t have it in me to make a montage or look at pictures of him. Every part of my house feels he should be in it. If anyone expects to hear from me, you may not for a while and I’m sorry. My heart is truly and truly broken. 2004-2023.”
Now, it looks like he’s feeling a little better, and the tattoo is definitely amazing too…

Later, in another post, Beckinsale tried to put on a brave face, even though she said she doesn’t know a month where she “cries more or is more scared.” He also thanked his family and friends, writing “You know who you are and we wouldn’t have made it without you. I am truly overwhelmed by all your kindness over a loss I still can’t really talk about without sobbing and all that came and still comes after.
She recently posted a tribute to Clive too, interspersed with pictures of her mother in hospital, looking grief-stricken. At the time, the “Underworld” actor wrote, “Embrace joy. Embrace sadness. Wear feathers. Sing. Do what makes you feel happy even for a moment. Pair sadness and pain and fear with life and laugh and celebrate as much as you can. This doesn’t mean you’re having some sort of crisis. It means you’re choosing life, fiercely.
Fans could feel his pain reverberating as he continued to write, “Be brave, and when you dare not, listen. Laugh out loud, dance out loud, cry out loud, love the people you trust. Spread the love while you can. Read it. Lying in bed and crying when it is from all sides and feels like an avalanche. Try not to be mean, or pick on the bad of others. People can break. Do good. Fight with everything you have for your loved ones, and for your own spirit.

Fans and followers rallied for Kate, sending her lots of lovely messages and support. Wrote Selma Blair, “Kate. I’m so sorry for this pain. So much love for you.” while Paris Hilton added, “Love you, beautiful soul.”
Another fan also wrote, “Releasing love. True love, is cruel. I’m a little biased as a vet nurse, but love, love as an ‘animal’ (hate that term) knows how to express naturally, has nothing to do with your looks, your achievements, your title…just your presence. They just want your presence.”
Kate must be there!
