Kate recently revealed that she is undergoing cancer treatment and has asked for privacy as she continues to recover. His announcement came after months of speculation, as many world leaders, including Jill Biden, Rishi Sunak, and Emmanuel Macron, led the charge to wish him well.

It comes after Kate broke her silence on her health status following weeks of strange conspiracy theories online. He announced on Friday that he had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing a “course of preventive chemotherapy.”

In the video announcement, he began, “I want to take this opportunity to thank you, personally, for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding while I’ve been recovering from surgery.”

“It’s been a very difficult few months for our whole family, but I have a fantastic medical team who have looked after me so well, for which I am very grateful,” Kate continued.

He added, “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, and at that time, it was considered that my condition was not cancer. The surgery was successful. However, the tests after the surgery found that cancer was present. My medical Therefore, the team advised that I should undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”

She went further to say that the news “came as a huge surprise” and that she and her husband had “done everything we could to process and manage this personally for the sake of our young family.”

Several world leaders have shared their messages of goodwill to the future queen following the news of her cancer.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan offered X’s best wishes for Kate’s “speedy recovery” as she undergoes chemotherapy for a cancer diagnosis.

“Cancer affects so many of us — & her bravery in sharing her diagnosis will help raise awareness & encourage others to get checked,” Khan said.

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak also said on the popular social media platform that Kate “has the love and support of the entire country as she continues her recovery.”

“He has shown incredible courage with his statement today,” Sunak wrote. “In recent weeks, he has come under intense scrutiny and has been unfairly treated by certain sections of the media around the world and on social media.”

Sunak added that the princess deserves “privacy to focus on her treatment and be with her beloved family.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also said in a statement that they “wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they can do so privately and peacefully.”
