On May 4, the Prince and Princess of Wales stepped out for their first official appearance in the much-anticipated coronation week. EVERYONE, the royal couple visited the Dog & Duck Pub in Soho to learn about the pub’s preparations for the coronation ceremony.
After spending quality time indoors with the establishment’s staff, the lovebirds stopped to chat with people outside the restaurant. A member of the assembly claimed the recipient of the Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order expressed her children’s feelings about the festival.
Recalling their conversation, Mandy Leifheit of Seattle, Washington, told the news outlet: “I asked if the kids were excited about the coronation, and she said, ‘They’re really excited. They had training yesterday, so they know what to expect.’ “
While the current Duchess of Cornwall raved about her children’s enthusiasm for their grandfather’s coronation, the insider revealed that the Princess couldn’t relate. In Leifheit’s words: “He said he was more nervous than the kids because it was such a big event for the kids to be a part of.”
The source added that the 41-year-old confirmed the presence of his youngest son Prince Louis while declaring the boy will never forget his experience at the momentous occasion. The coronation was no doubt a big deal for the young Prince and his siblings, given their important role in the ceremony.
The Welsh royals — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis — will star in the King’s upcoming coronation procession. Unlike the older children, this will mark Louis’ first appearance, as his siblings previously joined Queen Elizabeth’s funeral procession in 2022.
The trio and their parents will join the royal procession out of the Abbey for Charles’ big day. The Prince and Princess of Wales’ carriage will be behind King Charles and Queen Camilla’s Golden State Coach.

Other important royals will follow William and Middleton’s carriage. The group included the Princess Royal, her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent, and Princess Alexandra.
While the children of Wales are allocated positions in the parade, the same cannot be said for the children of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet were not given the same treatment as their cousins.
Both were allegedly not invited to the King’s coronation at the time of this announcement. The lack of passes to the ceremony occurred following a delay by their parents in announcing whether they would attend the ceremony or not.
