In the document, they waive any claims to current or future spousal support and agree on how to divide their shared assets. Even though their split was settled, all that was left was for the judge to sign the paperwork to make it final.
Maloney announced the end of her 12-year relationship on her Instagram page. In the statement, he wrote, “This ending is not filled with hate or hatred, there are no sides to choose.” He added that they will still maintain a deep admiration for each other and remain friends.

The 35-year-old also mentioned that even though they may go in different directions, they will continue to love and support each other. Concluding the message, he thanked the people for their kind words and support.

Instead, Schwartz addressed the breakup in his statement, revealing Maloney was the one who chose to break up. The message began with the 39-year-old stating that he was not feeling great about the whole situation and was finding it difficult to express himself. He later wrote:
“I fully respect Katie’s decision, and we have had a healthy and productive conversation about it. It would be sad if she decided to stay with me while not being happy.”
She also mentioned that he has taught her how to be a better couple, recounting how they experienced true happiness and romance throughout their relationship while asking for understanding from their fans as they process the sad situation.
