Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski have released a joint tribute to their late “John Wick” co-star Lance Reddick. Reddick allegedly died of “natural causes” and was found dead at his home.
The actor has been busy recently with the press tour for “John Wick 4,” in which he plays Charon. Other movie stars have paid tribute to her, including Wendell Pierce, who called her “the epitome of class.”
During a 2021 interview, Reddick talked about his working relationship with Reeves and praised him. The actor’s last appearance was meant to be at the premiere of “John Wick 4”, but unfortunately he was not present at the event.

Keanu Reeves and “John Wick” director Chad Stahelski recently released a joint tribute to Lance Reddick for Diversity. Reddick was the lead actor in the film whose death was confirmed on Friday. The 60-year-old played Charon in all four “John Wick” movies.
The joint statement read, “We are deeply saddened and saddened by the loss of our beloved friend and colleague, Lance Reddick. He is a consummate professional and a joy to work with. Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, family and friends.”
Reeves and Stahelski also revealed that they are dedicating the upcoming “John Wick: Chapter 4” to Reddick’s “loving memory.” The much-anticipated film will hit theaters worldwide on March 23. They then ended their tribute with, “We will miss him dearly.”

Reddick’s representative confirmed his death in a statement to Many people Magazine, saying he died “suddenly this morning of natural causes.” They further wrote, “Lance is best known for his roles in ‘The Wire,’ ‘Bosch,’ Netflix’s ‘Resident Evil’ and the ‘John Wick’ films.”
With his death, Reddick is survived by his wife, Stephanie Reddick, and their two children, Yvonne Nicole Reddick and Christopher Reddick. A statement by his representative concluded with, “Lance will be greatly missed. Please respect his family’s privacy at this time.”

Other Actors Have Paid Tributes

Since Reddick’s passing was confirmed, several other actors have shared tributes to the actor on social media. One such tribute came from “John Wick” co-star Ian McShane, who said he was “shocked and in disbelief” at the news.
He wrote, “Lance was a great human being and a great co-worker. My deepest condolences, peace and love to his wife, Stephanie, and his entire family.” Wendell Pierce, Reddick’s co-star from “The Wire,” also tweeted a tribute, writing that the late actor was “a man of great strength and grace.”
Pierce added, “The epitome of class. An [sic] a sudden and unexpected painful grief for our artistic family. Unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones. God willing my friend. You make your mark here. RIP.”
Ben Stiller also tweeted a tribute to Reddick, writing that the actor was a “beautiful and interesting actor.” Stiller’s late mother, Anne Meara, had worked with Reddick on the drama, “Afterplay.” In Stiller’s tribute, he further wrote that Reddick was also a “beautiful person … He was great at that and everything he did. Nothing was lost.”

In a December 2021 interview with Vulture Magazine, Reddick talked about his working relationship with Reeves and his experience on the “John Wick” film. He described the “Constantine” star as “someone who is very generous as an actor and then all about work.”
Reddick also said, “On the one hand I don’t think I know him very well but on the other hand, I just adore the guy. He is a great human being.” The “Resident Evil” actor went on to praise Reeves, saying, “he looks simple, but spiritually he’s very advanced.”
Reddick’s last appearance before his previous death was at the premiere of “John Wick 4” in New York. However, due to her secrecy, the actress chose to stay at home with her dog, then posted a selfie video of herself and her pet on social media.
