The “Nope” actress appeared to throw some shade at Darius Jackson, the father of her newborn son, in Usher’s recent music video. This comes after she publicly criticized the outfit she wore to one of the singer’s concerts in July. Adding to the mix, the audio features her singing, “Someone said that your boyfriend is looking for me.” Tense! In the blink of an eye, when his gaze met the 44-year-old’s, Palmer seamlessly transformed into his likeness, wearing the same silver Usher chain and aviator, wearing the same outfit.
The 29-year-old also mastered the “U Got It Bad” singer’s choreography, even mastering her foot shuffle. However, the part that draws attention is the closing scene of the video. The five-time NAACP Image Award winner realized it was just a dream and she never left her sleep.
Sighing, she exclaimed, “I’m so tired,” and winked at the camera, playfully adding, “I’m a mom after all.” The collaboration serves as a nod to the online buzz Usher, Palmer, and especially her ex-boyfriend sparked in early July.

While the father of her child was busy hitting her online with her comments, Palmer ignored it all and chose to share her experience as a new mother. The “Cold Case” guest star says she has new strength and confidence since welcoming the little one.
In an interview with The Cut for their July cover story, “Jump In!” star talks about the transformative power of motherhood: “After giving birth to my baby, I got stronger. I was just wildly boosted. Manage my stuff, enjoy.”
Digging deeper into her thoughts, the MTV Video Music Awards host revealed that before becoming a mother, she had struggled with self-awareness, especially as a “public figure” where appearance was often considered important.
“Always try to be on point with my body and make sure I take care of this and that. There’s a lot of physical attention,” co-hosts “Strahan, Sara, and Keke” shared.
Fortunately, she found solace in celebrity trainer Corey Calliet, who was instrumental in helping her deal with the various changes. She emphasized that her goal is not to return her “body to its pre-baby state” because it’s not “something to hide” but “something to embrace.”
