Kel Mitchell Reveals ‘Frightening’ Health Issue That Hospitalized Him

“Kenan & Kel” and “Good Burger” star Kel Mitchell has finally spoken out about his mysterious hospitalization earlier this week.

What the actor described as a “frightening” issue a few days ago, he now reveals has to do with a “bulging disc from a previous injury that pressed on a nerve.”

The actor shared a video on social media, finally going public about what exactly happened earlier this week that sent him to the hospital. “I’m fine, I’m here I’m smiling, I’m with my family at home,” he began the video before explaining the events that led to his hospitalization.

She explained that she was out shopping on Tuesday, but then the whole room started spinning, so she initially thought she was dehydrated. His first thought was to get food and water inside him, but as he did that, “the whole right side of my arm and leg went numb, followed by I couldn’t swallow, and that’s when I panicked,” he said in his video.

“So I drove myself to the hospital, I wouldn’t advise anyone to do that, but I panicked,” he added.

Once he got to the emergency room, he failed the arm and leg tests because his motor skills weren’t working well, which only made the actor panic even more. Doctors acknowledged the “Good Burger” star as they performed various tests, including a CT Scan and EKG. Fortunately, what the medical staff originally feared was the cause, they eventually discovered it had to do with “a bulging disc from a previous injury that pressed on a nerve.”

“For those wondering about recent events and my well-being, appreciate the concern and send you love,” Mitchell wrote in the caption of her latest video. “This should bring some clarity. ? 3 John 1:2 ?? Much love and God bless! “

The “Good Burger” star initially broke his silence days after it was reported that he was hospitalized after being rushed to the emergency room, however, he did not say what sent him to the hospital.

“Grateful for the outpouring of prayers and positivity surrounding me during a truly scary time,” she began writing on Instagram at the time.

“The fear is real, but so is the support,” he added. “With the grace of God and the skill of the medical team, I am now on my way to recovery at home, surrounded by the love of my family.”

He concluded with, “Your kindness has been a lifeline, and I cannot thank you enough. Much love to each of you.”

“As far as Kenan and I go, we’ve wanted this to happen since the first one,” Kel told HollywoodLife regarding the confirmed second ‘Good Burger’ movie. “But we have known this process for a long time. We’re so excited now that burgers are back and everyone knows what’s going on. It will be a great and great script. That’s what we want. We want the script to be fun for 90s fans and kids today.”

Now that the SAG strike is over, Mitchell promises more “Good Burger” content to come.
