Rowland also shared that people need to focus on the good instead of picking on the bad and choosing to cast stones every time. The singer said people need to forgive Brown especially regarding his controversy with Rihanna that happened almost 14 years ago.
He explains that it’s human nature to be short-sighted once in a while and when they do, they deserve to start over and not have it thrown at them again and again. As the singer stated, the ability to start over is what makes us human.

Immediately after Rowland’s speech at the AMAs, she and Brown began trending on Twitter, with many fans torn between criticizing the singer for defending Brown’s violent and abusive past with women and supporting her for saying the “Not Sure” singer deserves forgiveness.
