Court documents obtained show the musicians reached an agreement on all matters related to their divorce on October 24 in Davidson County in Tennessee. The agreement states that Ballerini and Evans have moved out of their “marital residence” in Nashville, with the property listed for sale using a mutually agreed-upon realtor.

It also mentions that former spouses who had a prenuptial agreement have divided household furniture and other personal items. Meanwhile, fans will recall that the “Dibs” singer initially filed for divorce from her ex on August 29 after nearly half a decade of marriage.

It seems the marriage has had a lot of issues, as an insider told the publication that the former couple had been “working on their marriage for a very long time.” They also revealed that Ballerini and Evans separated privately before the final split and had been in therapy for several years.

Although they gave their best to the marriage, they, unfortunately, decided to “officially separate.” After the divorce filing was made, the 29-year-old singer informed fans in a lengthy message that she described as a “Very Difficult Decision.” The caption of the post read in part:

He later stated that the divorce was already “public record,” hence his desire for fans to hear the news directly from him. It was an “extremely difficult decision” for Ballerini, she said in a statement, adding that it resulted from “a journey of love, growth, and effort that has finally come to an end.”

Nevertheless, she remains “very grateful” for the many years of marriage with the “Kiss Somebody” singer and looks forward to “next season.” Concluding his announcement, he wrote:

“With a very active schedule ahead, please note that we are both fragile, actively recovering and showing the best we can.”

Ballerini and Evans were first introduced at an awards show in March 2016. There was an instant attraction, as they had their first kiss at the same event after sharing a shot.

Then in November, they made their red carpet debut at the Country Music Association Awards in matching outfits, glaring at each other. The following month, they announced their engagement and eventually married the following year in a “tequila-themed” ceremony with nearly a hundred loved ones in attendance.

In October 2018, they released their first song together, “Dance With Me,” and along the way, they moved from a downtown apartment in Nashville to their newly purchased property in the suburbs.

Some of the songs include “Miss Me More,” “What I Have,” and “Get Over Yourself.” In “What I Have,” instead of singing, “I got a warm body in the bed,” he croons, “I got my own body in the bed.”

Also, when performing “Get Over Yourself”, he replaced “I’m a crazy ex who ruined your life” with “I’m a crazy sissy who ruined your life.”

Another piece the “Legends” frontman used to solve his domestic problems was “Doin’ My Best,” from his new album. He also sings about breaking up with his former friend Halsey.

“I’m friends with a pop star,” he sings. “I put them on track four but / If I could take it back, I’d never ask / If I knew we’d never talk again.”
