Ken Jennings To Host New ‘Jeopardy!’ Spin-Off

“Jeopardy!” fans are excited to see Ken Jennings behind the podium for a new spin-off trivia show.

While the show may be new, the faces won’t be. The new spinoff, now titled “Jeopardy! Masters,” will feature some of the best contestants to ever play on the Alex Trebek stage.

Unfortunately, not much information about “Jeopardy!” new spin-off at the moment. The news comes as ABC picks up new seasons of “Celebrity Family Feud,” “Press Your Luck,” and “Claim To Fame.” The new “Jeopardy” spin-off will join “Celebrity Jeopardy!”, hosted by “The Big Bang Theory” alum Mayim Bialik.

“Jeopardy!” The new spin-off will feature celebrities of a different kind. Six of the highest-rated contestants will face each other, which looks a little reminiscent of when Ken Jennings beat James Holzhauer and Brad Rutter on “Jeopardy!” Greatest Tournament of All Time” in 2020.

Ken will also appear in this tournament, but only as a host. He will not compete to allow the new “master” to be in the spotlight. According to ABC (via The Hollywood Reporter), the new spin-off will feature the game’s “Champions League style” and will also be executive produced by actor Michael Davies.

Even though Brad Rutter stepped out of the competition, James Holzhauer will still compete. Several favorites from season 38, including Matt Amodio, Amy Schneider, Mattea Roach, and Andrew He will also compete, as well as 2021 Professor Tournament winner Sam Buttrey.

Sam has become a fan favorite for his performances in the 2022 Champions League, which saw Amy once again come out on top after snapping a 40-match winning streak last January.

While it’s still not enough to beat Ken’s record of 74 games in 2004, it’s still the closest anyone has come in nearly two decades.

I have no doubt that Jeopardy, and trivia, will continue to be a part of my life, but I also want to step up my advocacy on behalf of my trans community in the next year, I’m talking to a few different organizations about how I can make that happen

In a lengthy Twitter thread summing up his thoughts on the 2022 Tournament of Champions, the former software engineer decided to give fans a sneak peek after his Jeopardy! future.

“I have no doubt that Jeopardy, and trivia, will continue to be a part of my life, but I also want to step up my advocacy on behalf of my trans community in the next year, I’m talking to a few different organizations about how I can make it happen, ” he began.

He also gave fans another update about his book. Shortly after her 40-fight win streak in January, Amy signed a contract with talent agency CAA and announced that she plans to write a book. Apparently the show is still in development, as well as “some other projects that I can’t talk about here.”

However, there is another big teaser that Amy shared with her fans. “I know I’m going to make at least one more appearance on Jeopardy, in ways you might not expect!” he teased. “But again, I can’t say much more.”

At the time, many fans speculated that he would appear as a clue reader in one of the categories, but they would never have suspected that he would be back competing so soon!

As Amy herself said, “I have no doubt that Jeopardy, and trivia, will continue to be a part of my life” and fans are definitely looking forward to it!
