Since filing for divorce in May, Christine Baumgartner and the famous actor have been at loggerheads over their divorce settlement. In addition to the child support drama, the former couple has been stuck in an odd situation regarding their living arrangements.
While the on-screen god claimed that his ex-wife’s refusal to vacate their previous residence had left him homeless, the 49-year-old claimed that he had unfairly kicked her and their children.
However, it looks like the “Yellowstone” star and her estranged partner have made some progress, with the latter finally starting to move out of the mansion, though he still lives on its grounds.
Christine Baumgartner Has Started Her Relocation Process Ahead of Court Deadline
Over the weekend, the media obtained images showing a moving truck leaving the stunning $145 million property she and her three children shared with the actor for 18 years as they merged into a smaller home. Resources for PEOPLE further confirmed that the handbag designer had moved on, stating:
“Christine followed legal advice following the prenup and vacating the family home. [She] will live in a smaller house on a property that has been used as staff quarters.”

Still clarifying the situation, the insider added that it’s a “temporary solution” for the mother of three who is “still looking for another home.” Apparently, he chose to stay in the area so as not to “disrupt the kids’ lives” because they will be “going back to school in the fall with their friends.”
“Christine tries to keep everything as normal as possible. Her sole focus is the children,” the source further told the publication. As the outlet shared, Baumgartner’s move occurred just days before a legal deadline set by a judge earlier this month, ordering that he must vacate the premises by Monday, July 31.
She initially asked the court to give her until August 31 to move out following a child support agreement. Additionally, Costner has asked her to vacate her property in Santa Barbara by July 13.
In the middle of their back and forth, the former “Field of Dreams” performer offered a condition for her to leave the house. She asked her ex-husband to agree to pay any support orders and fees determined by the court during their July 12 hearing.
The Blast reports that Baumgartner explained in a filed document that the “Dances with Wolves” cast expected him to “rent [a] place without [a] Financial plans are provided. however, [I] ask our three children to think. It is against their best interest to do the renting [I] may not be able to afford it, especially since it will eventually lead to a lot of resettlement.”

The model, who reportedly caught her ex with divorce papers, continued:
“My goal is and continues to maintain as much stability as possible for our children, including having the appropriate resources and planning so that [I] can establish [a] a stable home for them, rather than making temporary and inconsistent housing arrangements.”

Earlier this month, The Blast shared that the court temporarily approved Baumgartner’s request to receive $129,755 in monthly child support. In later revised court papers, Judge Thomas Anderle mandated Costner to pay an additional $200,000 in attorney fees and $100,000 in forensic costs.
The former couple, who filed for joint custody of their children, were ordered to pay 50% of the children’s health care, sports and extracurricular activities expenses. The document then highlights that these payments are expected to be made on the “first day of each month” with “credit for amounts paid between July 1 and July 12.”
In case you missed it, Baumgartner originally asked for $248,000 in monthly child support or “alternatively, at the guideline rate of $217,300 per month, paid on the first of each month.”
He also asked the actor of “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves” to bear 100% of the expenses of private school tuition, extracurricular activities, sports and health care of the children. Costner quickly denied the suggestion, claiming that the nearly $250,000 allocation included more than $100,000 associated with the Cat Bag Couture founder’s cosmetic surgery fees, among other wasteful expenses.
