Meghan Markle recently took part in a SXSW Conference panel alongside Hollywood’s biggest names. After the panel, the Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry, visited Texas BBQ spot La Barbecue, where they enjoyed brisket and sausage.
The restaurant’s director of operations, Cory Rivademar, gushed about the couple’s kindness and Meghan’s praise for the BBQ, noting that both are really sweet.

During a recent visit to Austin, Texas, for the SXSW Conference, Meghan Markle participated in a panel discussion titled “Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead and Leave the Screen,” along with Brooke Shields, Katie Couric, Nancy Wang Yuen, and moderator Errin Haines, while Prince Harry sat in the audience.
After the event, Meghan and Harry made a surprise visit to La Barbecue, and Director of Operations, Cory Rivademar, shared details of their visit with People’s Magazinesee how nice and kind the royal couple is.
“Their visit is a scheduled thing. They told us that he wanted to come but didn’t know Harry was coming,” said Rivademar.
Rivademar continued: “They come in, and they visit the pits with Frankie, who is the pit man, and talk about how hot it is around the pits, which is funny because this is Texas, and actually, it can be hotter than today.”

According to Rivademar, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex enjoyed brisket and sausages at la Barbecue and were “so beautiful” as they posed for pictures with staff and fellow diners as the restaurant remained open to the public.
After their departure, Rivademar shared that he received a text from Meghan’s representative, stating that it was the best BBQ they had ever tasted.
Reflecting on their visit, Rivademar said: “I thought they looked happy and sweet, she was very beautiful. He talked about their son loving the new Disney movie, ‘Wish.’”
Rivademar added, “Very genuine and very caring. Happy couple. Good for people who don’t know what’s going on.”

“Most of the bullying and abuse I experienced on social media and online was when I was pregnant, with Archie and Loli, and with newborns with each of them,” she revealed.
The former actress emphasized the vulnerability of new mothers and how social media exacerbates their challenges, stating: “When you’re a new mother, it’s a very vulnerable time.”
She continued: “The effect that social media can have on new mums, even if it’s just sleep deprivation because they spend time scrolling, but it can also be really dizzying for them to see these pictures of motherhood that look so perfect when we all know it’s not perfect . We all know it’s messy.”
