Keyshia Cole Admits Pulling Son From Donda Academy Out Of Fear Of Kanye West

Keyshia Cole takes no chances in her family!

As a proud mother of two amazing children, the 41-year-old can no longer support Kanye “Ye” West’s Donda Academy following a recent string of disturbing tweets. The singer removed her 12-year-old son, DJ, from an unlicensed institution after his “I Changed My Mind” partner threatened to “shoot up the school”.

Last month, Ye raised a few eyebrows with his Twitter rants and antisemitic remarks. However, the most disturbing message contained a foreboding statement about his private educational facilities.

In a tweet that has since been deleted, the YEEZY founder claimed he was going to attack a school. Although he did not name the institution, many assumed his message was directed at the Donda Academy. Not taking any chances, parents like Cole immediately deregistered their children.

On October 27, the “Let It Go” artist revealed on Twitter that his son no longer attends the institution. This announcement was made in response to one of the users of the platform questioned parental principles. Concerned individuals write:

“Donda Academy is closed, and I have to ask… what kind of parent sends a child to an unaccredited religious indoctrination center where you have to sign an NDA to enroll?”

This person wonders how anyone with children will listen to Ye and believe they can trust him with their loved ones’ educational growth and safety. Other people marked the “Heaven Sent” singer in the tweet, promoting Cole’s respond.

“I pulled my DJ out of Donda sadly after you said he was back to shoot up the school, that kind of scared me,” the 41-year-old explained. Just a moment tweets, the mother of two denied speculation of a non-disclosure agreement. In his words:

“And there was no NDA signed,” the Oakland native said, “Idk there might have been, but that wasn’t disclosed to us.”

Following his tweet, some fans wanted to know what really happened behind the doors of Ye’s mysterious private school. However, some social media users slammed the “Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is” star for putting her child in an unaccredited institution and hope she learns a valuable lesson from this event. On the same note, some people are not convinced about NDA.

Unfortunately, the alleged registration prerequisites are the least of Donda Academy’s problems. Earlier this month, The Blast reported that the future of the school remained uncertain, as did the unpredictable actions of its founder. Following the backlash Ye received for his antisemitic comments, the institution announced its plans to close.

A day after the news, the Hip-hop superstar reversed his decision to close and reopen the school. However, how can an institution function without staff? According to Malik Yusef, some members have resigned from their positions at the academy.

The “Praise God” rapper’s friend revealed that the Jewish staff packed their bags because of Ye’s “absurd” statement. One of the star administrators who lost was Tamar Andrews, a highly respected education consultant.

When asked about the institutional founder’s ballistic behavior and controversial statements, the former Donda employee said: “Critical thinking is what Donda is all about, and I don’t think Kanye uses critical thinking.”

Ye’s name will forever be etched in the history of pop culture influences, especially in the rap genre. The record label has impacted the music industry in many ways, but its educational efforts are a different ball game.

As shared by The Blast, the AMA winner built the Donda Academy in honor of his late mother, Dr. Donna West. This institution covers more than 3 acres of land in Simi Valley and bears fruit in October. The school describes itself as a “world-class” education system that emphasizes “creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving.” However, sources claim otherwise.

According to insiders, parents are not allowed to discuss the inner workings of the academy as the NDA was signed during the enrollment process. The employee at the time, Andrews, confirmed this speculation. The institution’s consultant explained that the parents signed some kind of “informal agreement” but did not say whether this document was an NDA.

Additionally, sources claim that the “Runaway” rapper hired inexperienced staff with little academic background. For example, the Principal and Executive Director, Brianne Campbell, reportedly had never held a formal educator position before joining Donda Academy.
