Kim Kardashian Now Has A Hand In Covering Basketball Players’ Behinds!

Kim Kardashian now has a hand in covering basketball players’ rears with her new partnership. The NBA just announced a new multi-year partnership with SKIMS that also covers the WNBA and USA Basketball.

SKIMS Is the New Official Underwear Partner of the NBA, WNBA and USA Basketball

It’s a slam dunk for Kardashian, 43, who just released SKIMS’ first collection for men last week. The interesting basketball news was shared on the SKIMS Instagram page on Monday morning.

“I am extremely proud of SKIMS’ partnership with the NBA, as it reflects SKIMS’ growing influence on culture,” said Kardashian, Co-Founder and Creative Director of SKIMS. “Together, SKIMS and the NBA will connect people of all backgrounds through fashion, sports and talent, and I look forward to seeing the partnership thrive.”

Jens Grede, Co-Founder and CEO of SKIMS added, “The NBA’s modern approach and significant impact on pop culture, entertainment and fashion is unmatched in sports. Our partnership marks an incredible opportunity for SKIMS and the NBA to collaborate on what is meant to engage the next generation of fans through basketball.”

SKIMS is partnering with not only the NBA, but also the WNBA and USA Basketball to “harness the power of basketball to generate excitement and demand by appearing in unexpected ways,” according to a press release issued by the NBA.

“SKIMS has become one of our most culturally influential brands,” said NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. “We look forward to bringing NBA fans and SKIMS users unique experiences, new offerings and premium products through our partnership.”

Fans will see the partnership cemented at future marquee events, including the NBA All-Star Game and the new NBA In-Season Tournament. As part of the NBA partnership, SKIMS will receive media exposure across multiple platforms that include virtual signage on the court during national broadcasts of NBA and WNBA games, as well as social and digital platforms.

Partnership Also Includes WNBA

The WNBA recently shared the news on their Instagram page.

With the WNBA experiencing tremendous growth recently, this partnership comes at the right time for the league.

“WNBA athletes are trendsetters and cultural influencers,” said WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert, according to For The Win. “We are excited to partner with SKIMS, a brand that has rapidly cemented its status as a cultural powerhouse, to enhance our respective brands and celebrate female athletes and their impact on society.”

The 2023 WNBA season was the most-watched regular season since 2002, with viewers up 21%. The league also set new records on social media, sports betting and on digital platforms.

The 2023 Finals featured two of the best teams in the league, the Las Vegas Aces and the New York Liberty, battling for the Championship and making WNBA history, and was the most-watched Finals in two decades. The Finals ended with the Aces clinching the title for the second year in a row.
