Author Omid Scobie’s new book, “Endgame,” has revealed more about King Charles’ reaction to Prince Harry’s hit Netflix documentary series.
The book’s passage claims that the king openly criticized his son, calling him “that idiot.” The book also claims that the documentary’s debut didn’t sit well with The Firm.

While the prevailing opinion at the time was that the royals, especially King Charles, were unhappy with Prince Harry airing family matters in public, a new book on the royal family by Omid Scobie suggests that things may be worse than first predicted.
“In the Palace, heads are in hands and migraines are developing,” read an excerpt from the book, according to Daily Mail.
“[The show] took the wind out of everyone’s sails,” a royal aide recounted. “[King Charles] from not wanting anyone to talk about her child to openly criticizing ‘that idiot.’”

Another quote from the book claims that the Prince of Wales, Prince William, “prioritises his loyalty to the monarchy” over his brother.
It is also claimed that the senior royal is one of those who is actively trying to undermine Harry and Meghan by leaking information about them to the media.
Although William has not denied the allegations, several sources close to the family have come to his defense, saying he is keeping his family life private.
“[Prince William] always kept his mouth shut when talking about his family and made it clear to anyone in his orbit that he would not do ‘deals’ with the media,” they said.
Alternative sources stated that the claims made by Scobie were “completely fabricated”, while stating that the author did not act ethically.
The insider added, “It’s a matter of writing criticism of the Royal Family. That is freedom of speech. But it’s another thing to peddle a conspiracy theory dressed up as fact.”

According to reports, the Invictus Games founder and his wife called the king on his 75th birthday recently and had a friendly chat with him. It is now speculated that the call is the first step in the right direction towards rebuilding relations with the royal family.
It was also recently reported that Harry and Meghan are open to spending the festive season with King Charles at Sandringham, despite claims that not everyone will take their cue.
At the time, some insiders suggested that the King would choose the Sussexes to visit him in Scotland in the New Year rather than during Christmas to avoid a clash between Harry and his brother.

Harry has previously expressed his interest in turning things around and is open to talking about how they behave towards Meghan. He wanted them to understand the struggles he might have faced when he was one of the royals.
The French article shared other excerpts from “Endgame,” including that the Sussexes are still sending photos and updates of their children, Archie and Lilibet, to the royal family despite the current rift between them.
