The soon-to-be-crowned couple began their romance in the early 90s. Remaining friends while still married to each other shows that they will remain inseparable forever. However, on April 9, 2005, the royal couple walked down the aisle.
The death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8 has elevated them in the hierarchy to become ceremonial leaders in the United Kingdom. Now, for their first Christmas as King and Queen, Charles and Camilla are showing off their unique bond.

On Monday, the Royal family released this year’s Christmas cards from the King and Queen Mother to mark the festive holiday. The photo used for the highly anticipated card shows King Charles and Queen Camilla looking very much in love with each other.
His Royal Highness is seen in a brown suit standing close to his Queen, who is wearing a green dress with a matching hat. Camilla, who seemed to be a step below Charles, looked at him lovingly with a warm, wide smile on her face.
The couple, who have been in love for a long time, were seen chatting as the King leaned slightly towards his wife and had a big smile on his face. The upload on Instagram was captioned, “?✉️ We are delighted to share this year’s Christmas Card from The King and The Queen Consort.”
It also revealed that the photo used for the holiday card was taken in September 2022 at Braemar Sports. The post received more than 100,000 likes and attracted both appreciation and displeasure.
One comment read, “Not a fan,” indicating disapproval of either the couple or the celebratory notes. Another follower who is a fan of the royal couple wrote, “Just a great choice. King Charles and Queen Camille are doing a great job and have been for years now. The Royal Family stands united and strong. They raised their heads and continued to work. So very proud of them.”
The couple’s holiday ritual is a crowd pleaser as it’s their first Christmas since ascending the throne, but while they await the big coronation day, the master of ceremonies is fulfilling all legal obligations.
Previously, The Blast reported what to expect from the couple’s coronation. The date of the official coronation of King Charles III was announced through a statement on their Twitter page which read, “The coronation of His Majesty the King will take place on Saturday 6 May 2023 at Westminster Abbey. The ceremony will see His Majesty King Charles III crowned alongside the Queen.”

As with any other coronation, it will uphold the tradition of having the Archbishop of Canterbury crown Charles and his wife.
Ascension to the throne is an important ceremony for the citizens of Great Britain. It marks a new dawn for their society, so the preparations for such an event are done with pomp and regalness.
A spokesperson for the Royal family confirmed the statement saying, “The coronation will reflect the role of the monarch today and look towards the future while being rooted in tradition and pageantry.”
Several world leaders and dignitaries will join Charles and Camilla, and most certainly, other members of the royal family will be in attendance.
However, the preparations for this event were not as lavish as those of King Charles’s mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, which took place in 1953. The decision to cut costs was to cover the escalating financial crisis that might push the country into recession.
King Charles is keen to keep the event low-profile and wants to use it to showcase the country’s diversity. According to reports, his insistence may be due to an unfavorable situation that occurred in the past.

The release of King Charles III & Queen Camilla’s Christmas card comes days after the monarch suffered a second egg incident in a month. As reported by The Blast, King was shot in St. George in Luton during a royal visit on Tuesday, December 6.
Fortunately, his bodyguard apologized by moving him from the scene before things got messy and the individual was taken into custody by law enforcement. The previous egging encounter took place in early November during a visit to York, England.
The perpetrator, named Patrick Thelwell, threw the egg at King during his visit to York with his wife Bowles to unveil a statue of his late mother. This action is a protest to the royal family and the history of the country’s waves.
The former York university student said, “This country was built on the blood of slaves,” before he was led away by the relevant authorities.
However, these two isolated incidents did not weigh on Charles, as he continued to perform his duties and obligations to the public.
