King Charles III has finally returned to work at the palace amid speculation about his health status. In February, the king was diagnosed with cancer while undergoing treatment for an enlarged prostate.
Since his diagnosis was announced, Charles has taken a break from his royal duties to manage his health and receive treatment. However, he is now back at work, and Buckingham Palace has released a picture of the monarch welcoming the ambassador.

Amidst his ongoing cancer treatment, King Charles has returned to work. On Wednesday, Buckingham Palace released an official photo of the monarch welcoming the ambassador with a very cheerful attitude.
In a photo shared online, the 75-year-old King was all smiles as he shook hands with Algeria’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Nourredine Yazid, and Samba Mamadou, Mauritania’s ambassador.
The palace captioned the photo: “The King received Ambassadors from Algeria and Mauritania at Buckingham Palace earlier today. Mr Nourredine Yazid and Mr Samba Mamadou Ba presented Her Majesty with their ‘credentials’ – official letters from their Heads of State marking the start of their posts in the UK.”
There were other meetings the king attended today besides his personal meeting with the ambassadors.
In a previously shared photo, King Charles can be seen talking to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during a video conference at Buckingham Palace. The image was captioned, “This afternoon, His Majesty the King met with the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, via video link.”

As we previously reported, King revealed that he had been “in tears” after being showered with kind words and support following his cancer diagnosis.
Charles said this during a meeting with Prime Minister Sunak at Buckingham Palace to discuss government matters.
At the meeting, the Prime Minister told the King that it was “lovely to see you looking so good,” to which Charles quipped, “It’s all done with a mirror.”
Sunak then reassured the king, “We are all behind you. This country is behind you,” prompting him to reply, “I have received so many wonderful messages and cards. It makes me cry most of the time.”
During King’s conversation with Sunak, they talked about how Charles’ cancer diagnosis helped highlight an important cancer charity.
“I hear there is more attention and interest in that great major cancer charity, most of which I have [a] patron for many years,” said Charles. The Prime Minister replied, “They are doing an incredible job up and down the country.”
What Kinds of Cancer Are Kings Infected With?

Since his diagnosis, many have asked to know the type of cancer the king was diagnosed with, but the palace has been tight-lipped about the information. However, they made sure that his cancer diagnosis was not related to his treatment for an “enlarged prostate.”
An earlier statement read: “During a recent procedure at The King’s hospital for a benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests identified a form of cancer.”
It continued, “His Majesty has today started a regular treatment schedule, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to carry out government affairs and official paperwork as usual.”
In addition to the King, his daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, also caused concern because of her disappearance from the public eye after undergoing stomach surgery. Reports have since stated that Kate is “doing well” and will return to work once she has recovered.
