Kourtney Kardashian Bashes Family For Normalizing Men’s Behavior Over Setting Boundaries

Forgive and forget? No, Kourtney Kardashian is all about forgiveness and setting boundaries!

The eldest Kardashian recently called out her family for easily accepting the faults of the men in their lives instead of creating clear guidelines for how they want to be treated.

The 44-year-old’s words come amid Tristan Thompson’s apology for repeatedly cheating on his sister Khloé Kardashian. While the mother of four condemned the NBA star’s actions, she was more concerned about the effect her family’s unhealthy tradition with men had on her daughter.

Kourtney Kardashian Worries Lack of Family Boundaries Will Affect Daughter Penelope

This week’s episode of Hulu’s hit series “The Kardashians” captures the conclusion of the Poosh founder’s heart-to-heart conversation with Thompson. As the basketball player tries to win Kourtney back with remorse over his past infidelity, the Los Angeles native is not easily convinced.

Known for his sharp tongue and very honest personality, the entrepreneur slammed the athlete for not being worthy of Khloé and enjoying the space without boundaries in his life.

The reality TV star insists that the men in her family are “very lucky” because her mother and siblings prioritize “one big happy family” over setting boundaries and turning their backs on each other.

She found it “interesting” that the KarJenner clan was more focused on the shallow side than making sure the affected person, Khloé, was okay. “We can make sure Khloé looks her best, she’s dressed, she feels good, she’s in glam, takes a good picture, we can do all of that,” the entertainer said, adding:

“But really making sure that person feels supported, standing up, setting the boundaries that they need to set and being supported in that, because in this family, it’s not. Like I said, it’s lucky for you all. And it’s great for kids, but it’s also, like…”

Kourtney shares three children — daughter Penelope and sons Mason and Reign — with ex-partner Scott Disick. Additionally, she recently welcomed a newborn son, Rocky, with her husband, Travis Barker.

With four children to care for, the TV personality stressed in her confession that she doesn’t want her children, especially her daughter, to be influenced by the KarJenner clan’s lack of boundaries.

“I’m not here to hold a grudge; I think that is the point of the conversation. I believe that people can grow. It’s interesting to me, the work he’s done and the path he’s taken because when your words don’t match your actions, it’s worrying,” the 44-year-old said of Thompson before expressing distaste for his family’s ways. In the words of the socialite:

“Talk is cheap. In our family, everyone can continue to normalize the behavior of some of the men in our lives, and I don’t want to show my daughter that that’s okay. I think having forgiveness and giving grace. I think that’s right, but also having very clear boundaries, I think it’s very important.”

Lemme Brand Founder Misses Who He Was Before Therapy

A few days before the end of her discussion with the Canadian athlete, Kourtney reflected on the woman she had experienced before therapy. The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” alum admits she misses the days when she could be free to be the “no b—” version of herself.

The mother of four says, “I miss the ‘no f—s given’ atmosphere,” but says she’s a better person thanks to therapy. The changes she experienced since receiving help were so profound that the reality TV star became an advocate for professional advice within her family. In the words of the performer:

“I’ve definitely talked about it over the years with my family because I’ve really found it very helpful. But I don’t want to reject it either. You can give them information, but it’s their journey.”

Therapy may have played a role in Kourtney’s improved relationship with her older sister, Kim Kardashian. After months of arguing with each other with heated words, the oldest child takes the first step in repairing their broken bridge.

“Kourtney texted me. He sent me a picture of my dad in college. So Kourtney texted me, and I think it was a step in the right direction to get over it and get over all the drama. I want her here,” Kim revealed on the October episode of “The Kardashians.”
