Kris Jenner Looks To Kick Chronic Diseases In The Butt With Proactive ‘Prenuvo’ MRI Scan!

The Kardashian and Jenner families have been major players in shaping all things health-related in popular culture for nearly 20 years. On last night’s episode of “The Kardashians,” Kris Jenner opened up about her yearly goals to keep her health in top shape!

Enter Prenuvo, a company with several locations across the United States, that specializes in full-body MRI scans that allow patients the opportunity to gain peace of mind thanks to the scan’s ability to detect dangerous health issues early.

The company was featured on last night’s episode of the Hulu docu-series, with the duo touring the facility and Jenner getting her own scans!

Prenuvo’s CEO, Andrew Lacy, Speaks With Boom!

Lacy sat down and graciously answered a few questions for The Blast and provided some insight into Prenuvo, her inspiration for launching the groundbreaking company, and her hopes for the company’s reach!

Q: What inspired you to create a business using the technology used to create Prenuvo?

A: “The reality is that most of us have witnessed the devastating effects of cancer or chronic disease. For too many of us, we can deeply understand the pain of losing someone to cancer or suffering through an advanced disease because it was caught too late due to a reactive health care system. And because “disease” in our health care system is synonymous with “scary, advanced, life-threatening things,” many suffer day in and day out because they don’t have peace of mind about what might be lurking under the skin.

This is what we hope to prevent. At the individual level, we aim to empower individuals by giving them health clarity and identifying disease diagnoses early enough so that interventions can be more tolerable and less expensive. At the systems level, we want to drive meaningful shifts so that the healthcare industry stops wasting trillions of dollars every year on reactive treatments.

More than a decade ago, we conducted our first scan in a clinical setting and since then, we have informed 1 in 20 patients of a potentially life-saving diagnosis. As CEO, the impact of this scan is real and very inspiring. Every day, I am moved by stories of the incredible difference our scans have made. Nothing compares to knowing that our contribution has helped save someone’s life or hearing about the incredible peace of mind and mental clarity people experience after undergoing our scans.

However, in the last 20 years, the technology we use at Prenuvo, MRI, has evolved significantly. With hardware and software tailored for the screen, we can now provide unprecedented insight into the underlying health of individuals from head to toe. In less than 60 minutes, our scan captured 2000 images in 28 areas in less than an hour at diagnostic quality, with 1B+ data points acquired. This is a remarkable improvement compared to the conventional MRI process, which can take 4-5 hours.

Our goal is to make a meaningful difference in healthcare by giving individuals access to advanced imaging technology that can empower them to take control of their well-being. We believe that early detection is the key to better patient outcomes.”

Q: What are some common misconceptions about the use of AI in medicine? What do you think about the impact of social media on AI, or more specifically AI in medicine?

A: “One of the risks with AI, especially as it becomes more popular in healthcare, is the risk of inaccurate claims about what it can do and how it can be used. AI has great potential to both help doctors and improve patient care, but it is also important to realize that the development of AI technology in medicine requires significant time and research. This is why our AI research and medical team is dedicated to carefully studying its use and has published over 20 papers in leading medical societies that have revealed scientifically based research findings.

An example is our AI study of the brain, looking at the relationship between lifestyle factors and brain health. Our brains change as we age, and our research builds on this by looking at the relationship between lifestyle factors and brain volume. We explore the link between smoking and brain atrophy and also investigate the correlation between physical activity and how it may offer a potential way to maintain brain volume and function with age.

What’s exciting about the work we’re doing in AI is that the more longitudinal patient baseline examinations we do, the more big data we can leverage to continue to gain newer, deeper insights that will lead to more personalized clinical outcomes. and better.

Another common opinion we hear in the field of imaging is that AI will completely replace the work of radiologists. For us at Prenuvo, we are excited about the implementation of AI that complements and assists radiologists’ powerful skill sets. One such area is the future use of AI to help us understand early signs of disease progression and measure a person’s health trajectory. But these investments take time to develop and the work we’re doing in AI is still largely in the research and investigation stages.”

Lacy also discussed the benefits of “early adopters” like the Kardashian and Jenner families bringing exposure to Prenuvo.

“We thank the Kardashians and our patients for sharing their proactive health journeys. As CEO, I found myself introducing Prenuvo to many people. The most common reaction is, “Wow, I didn’t know scans like that existed. That’s amazing.” Spreading the word is essential to raising awareness from early adopters like the Kardashians to the general population. We believe this will bring us one step closer to preventive imaging like Prenuvo becoming the standard of care at the center of a completely changing healthcare system.”
