Meet Krystal Versace, Winner of Drag Race UK Season 3
“Oh my god. This was the most amazing experience I could have hoped for in my entire life. And I’m just ready to rule the damn world!” that’s what the 20-year-old Kent native said in his victory speech. Season 3 of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK has ended and the winner is Krstyal Versace.
She filmed Drag Race at the age of 19 which made her the youngest contestant on the show, ever, to compete. Not only that, but his win also made him the youngest winner in the show’s history, across all franchises. He had an incredible journey throughout the show.
Krystal won the maxi-challenge after the lip-sync and also won the first two challenges in a row.
Krystal’s first introduction to RuPaul’s Drag Race made her fall in love with the art form which she found open-minded. She had practiced makeup before, so she started experimenting with drag racing makeup. Season 3 winners started buying wigs and heels and started experimenting.
But it wasn’t until May 2019 after attending a Werq The World concert and seeing the queen live for the first time that it ignited a spark in him, and from there he booked his first gig, and then Krystal was out and about.
Speaking to Buzzfeed, he shared about his win and his reception. Krystal shared, “Oh my God, it feels crazy. To have that honor is a huge bonus. I feel like in this experience I did my best – like, I did everything I could. So I’m very proud of myself and I’m very grateful to be in this position today, and for everyone who helped me get here.”
Regarding the reception after her win, Krystal shared that it was incredible. He shared that he was overwhelmed because he could barely answer any questions. He also shared that he loves all the memes and funny moments.
Real Name Krystal Versace
Krystal Versace’s real name is Luke Fenn. She still remembers when she first got her drag racing name, and it happened in March 2019. A guy she was chatting with helped name her “Krystal born-to-be-drag-queen Versace.” The conversation moved to drag, and he didn’t have a drag name at the time.
He tells her that he likes the name ‘Crystal’ for her and she likes it. The last name of course comes from the brand and he has loved the name for a long time.
