“Today marks one year alcohol free for me,” he wrote. “Some things lead me to the conclusion that I don’t want to drink.”
He continued, “First of all, I didn’t feel like it had a place where I wanted it personally. I listened to my heart and the message was clear to me. I knew it was no longer serving me (no pun intended) physically, mentally, or spiritually. I never put a time frame on when I would drink again or said IF I would.”
Richards went on to share how she felt “clearer mentally” and no longer had “concerns” about alcohol. He noted that he had met with some “resistance” but was not one to succumb to “peer pressure.”
