Kylie Jenner’s cosmetics company has landed in legal hot water!
While the company has had its fair share of drama on social media, this latest round will reportedly cost it big after a model sued it over late payments.
The model claims that the business did not immediately compensate her after she did several photo shoots with their products a few years ago. A representative for the company has offered to supply the necessary documents to prove that they paid the plaintiff on time.
A Model Claims Six-Figure Payday From Kylie Cosmetics For Late Payment

A model, Sasha Palma, has filed a $120,000 lawsuit against Kylie Cosmetics, claiming the business delayed payment for two photo shoots she did for them in 2020 by more than a month.
Palma alleged in a legal document reviewed by TMZ that he should have been paid $2,000 for the first work in early July since it only took a day, and the final image was publicized in June.
As for the second photoshoot, she claims it was done in August 2020 and was charged $2,000 per day. However, Kylie’s Cosmetics didn’t send her pay until more than 30 days after she finished filming.
He said that Jenner’s business refused to pay him on time even though they could have, and for that, they now owe him $60,000 in damages each for two cases where they missed the 30-day deadline.
In response, a rep for Jenner’s brand revealed that Palma got her salary before NET 45 days, according to her invoices for both shoots—the rep demanded further documentation proving that Kylie Cosmetics had paid Palma on the due date.
Also, the insider explained that it’s possible the plaintiff’s agent was holding the payment in escrow, and the reality star is not to blame for that. The insider went on to point out that the model later asked the cosmetics outfit for a letter of recommendation, which she didn’t get, and that her team also allegedly tried to get her more work with the brand long after the photo shoot.
Some Shoplifters Have Previously Stealed Company Products

The cosmetics company faced heartbreaking losses when criminals targeted its products at one of its carrier stores. According to a November 2019 report from The Blast, several men entered an Ulta store in Oxnard, Southern California, and filled trash bags from a pop-up display carrying Jenner’s products.
According to closed-circuit camera (CCTV) footage shared with the media, the thieves appeared confident, ignoring the blaring alarms and shopkeepers looking on in shock as they went about their business. Posting the clip to social media, one media outlet wrote:
“Grocery rogues casually stroll into a SoCal Ulta store and help themselves to a bag full of Kylie cosmetics. And workers are powerless to stop them.”
This isn’t the first time something like this has happened in the area, as another Ulta store in nearby Thousand Oaks was hit just days before. However, unlike the Oxnard store, police arrested three men who were arrested with $2,500 worth of merchandise from the Thousand Oaks store for the crime.
We’re assuming the loss didn’t affect Jenner’s fortunes as she previously got a lucrative deal after selling part of the cosmetics brand for $600 million. It was shared in 2019 that the mother of two sold 51% of Kylie Cosmetics to Coty, Inc, a multinational beauty company that owns brands such as Adidas, Guess and Calvin Klein. A statement addressing the transaction, shared with the press at the time, read:
“Coty Inc. (NYSE:COTY) and Kylie Jenner announced today that they have entered into a long-term strategic partnership to jointly build and grow Kylie’s existing beauty business into a global powerhouse brand. Together, Coty and Kylie will set and lead the strategic direction of the partnership, focusing on global expansion and entry into new beauty categories. Kylie and her team will continue to lead all creative efforts in terms of product and communications initiatives, building on her unparalleled global reach through social media.”
