Former NBA player Lamar Odom was involved in a minor car accident in Los Angeles early Monday after colliding with two parked cars around 3 a.m. Odom, 43, was reportedly uninjured but shaken by the shocking incident.
follow TMZ, the incident happened when he was returning from his friend’s house in Northridge. Odom dropped his phone and, upon reaching to pick it up, later hit a parked car and then hit another car. Luckily there was no one in the parked vehicle.
Authorities arrived, and Odom cooperated, explaining the accident. No police report or charges were filed, and he did not require medical attention despite deploying an airbag.
Odom’s ownership of a sobriety and rehabilitation facility was discussed, but no field sobriety tests were conducted. After exchanging information with the owner of the parked car, Odom’s Mercedes was pulled over, and he was escorted home by his security team.
He Was Previously Involved In A Car Accident That Badly Affected Him

Odom was involved in a car accident in New York City twelve years ago. In July 2011, a collision occurred between the car Odom was riding in, a motorcyclist, and a 15-year-old pedestrian who tragically lost his life as a result of the accident.
Odom, who was married to reality TV star and Good American founder Khloe Kardashian at the time, was in New York to attend the funeral of his 24-year-old cousin, a homicide victim. Although the two-time NBA star was not driving, the incident affected him deeply, and a friend revealed Us Weekly that he “never fully recovered from that and has lived with grief ever since.”
The friend added, “Things were getting worse, and he was numbing the pain with whatever he could find.”
This emotional toll reportedly led to substance abuse, resulting in a DUI arrest in 2013, and eventually, Kardashian filed for divorce that same year.

In June, Odom took legal action against his former manager, Tonita Bybee, accusing her of illegally forging documents to own his home in Brooklyn, NY.
follow Page Six, the lawsuit alleges Bybee, whom Odom claims terminated in May 2022, engaged in a fraudulent scheme to sell the property by forging the deed.
Odom pointed out that the house has been in his family for “nearly three decades” and that his aunt, Carol Janean Mercer, has lived there since the death of his uncle, Michael Mercer, in August 2022. As a result of Bybee’s alleged actions, Janean faces eviction.
Odom has leveled accusations of “identity theft, conversion, misappropriation, misappropriation, and various forms of fraud” against Bybee, alleging he acted with bad faith, dishonesty and grossly immoral conduct.
Lamar Odom Continues Legal Action Against Notary Public

Odom is also pursuing a lawsuit against a notary public, alleging that they “improperly notarized” a false deed, as they claim Odom was present and signed it when he was never present before them, either in person or remotely.
Additionally, the “Celebrity Big Brother” star accused Bybee of unauthorized use of her personal information, including name, signature, likeness, social security number and more, to defraud individuals and businesses through speech and appearance even after her termination.
He also claims that Bybee owes him money from appearances on TV shows such as “Celebrity Big Brother,” “College Hill: Celebrity Edition,” and “Celebrity Boxing,” as well as NFT deals and sponsored social media promotions under his name.
