Two Las Vegas teenagers accused of intentionally hitting a bicyclist were on a two-hour crime spree when they killed the retired police officer, according to a report.
The accused drivers Jesus Ayala, 18, and Jzamir Keys, 16, are accused of stealing three vehicles, committing housebreaking and also trying to kill another cyclist, KLAS reported, citing sources and public records.
The couple faces manslaughter charges in the death of Andreas “Andy” Probst, 64, a former California police chief who was riding his bicycle in a marked lane in northwest Las Vegas last month when Ayala intentionally hit him with a car, authorities said.
The vehicle was stolen.

Ayala, faces 18 charges including murder, attempted murder, battery with a deadly weapon, leaving the scene of an accident, and multiple counts of robbery and burglary.
Ayala and Keys, who were passengers in the car when Probst was hit, made their first appearance in adult court on Thursday.
Keys faces charges of murder, attempted murder and battery.

Probst’s death on Aug. 14 was initially classified as a hit-and-run until police were alerted to the video of the killing.
About half an hour before Probst’s murder, the pair allegedly tried to hit another rider and steal two more cars, which then crashed into each other near a shopping plaza, KLAS reported.
Sources told the station, the two young suspects also broke into the garage, stealing some items.
