Tyrese Gibson has responded to claims in a lawsuit that accuses him of causing damage to Airbnb rentals through “excessive alteration.”
A new video in which the actor and singer denies making any major changes to the rented house he has been living in for months, has surfaced. Despite how he sees it, the homeowner is still asking Gibson to pay a minimum of $25,000 in compensation to address the mistakes he made while living in his rental property according to court documents obtained by The Blast.
Tyrese Gibson Ready to Defend Himself After Staying at Airbnb
Gibson’s legal troubles are once again a source of conversation after an Airbnb owner claimed that the actor destroyed his home in the name of making changes. According to property manager Tracy Wolf, the star of the “Fast & Furious” franchise signed a six-month lease on a $20,000-a-month, five-bedroom estate in Woodland Hills starting in February.
However, he claims the “Sweet Lady” singer started adding structures to the house shortly after moving in. According to court documents, he claims the actions resulted in extensive damage when he allegedly changed electrical panels, installed non-compliant electrical outlets, boarded up doors and windows, and painted the marble fireplace a shiny gold metallic color.
Explaining his actions, Gibson, in a clip obtained by TMZ, showing off the changes inside the house, noting that he blocked the doors and windows for privacy reasons. He then emphasized that the materials used were not permanently attached to the existing structure of the house, meaning no permanent changes.

Unfortunately, Wolf called him out on the claim, noting that although he assured them the change was temporary, it had resulted in property damage.
In addition, the property manager declared that the perpetrator of the “Rogue Hostage” tried to get the homeowner’s gardener to remove 22 banana trees from the yard. When the gardener refused, he was allegedly looking for another company for the job, but the property management team intervened and prevented the hiring.
Wolf went on to say that Gibson allowed construction crews to drill numerous holes in the home’s wrought iron gate and brand new stucco exterior. Despite repeated requests, the property manager maintains that the 44-year-old ignored instructions to refrain from making any changes without written permission from the owner.
Instead, he insists that he makes changes impulsively when he wants to. He added that the owner of the house, Tiffanique Webb, was initially patient with the celebrity, allowing him a few months to deal with and fix the condition of the house.
Despite this, Wolf noted that Gibson stopped responding to calls, texts and emails, prompting the initiation of the lawsuit. In the document, obtained by The Blast nearly a week ago, Webb stated that she suffered “loss of use of property,” “property damage,” and “loss of earning capacity,” due to the actor’s actions.

‘Love Transaction’ Maker Has Case Pending Against Home Depot
Caught in a legal battle is nothing new for the father of two, who recently called out Home Depot for fighting his claims against them.
As The Blast previously reported, Gibson filed a lawsuit against the home improvement company in August, accusing them of racial profiling in the February incident.

When the retail giant responded by insisting that the opposite had happened, the “Best Man I Could Be” artist was quick to vent his frustration in a heated rant on Instagram, targeting Home Depot co-founder Bernard “Bernie” Marcus in a delete long post. He wrote:
“He was one of Trump’s biggest donors, giving $7 million to his campaign. When Marcus announced in 2019 that he would financially support Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign, it sparked calls to boycott Home Depot even though Marcus is no longer with the company.”
Continuing, Tyrese Gibson added, “In total, he has donated $64 million to the entire Republican Party… Mr. Bernie Marcus… Knock knock… Who’s there… Black and brown culture, the one you and the cashier you treated badly…”
The “Four Brothers” actor expressed regret for overspending “tens of millions” at Home Depot, citing “clear records of blatant racism and discrimination by your team and staff.”
Accusing the retail giant of including “random claims about me in court documents,” she explained that she was not the first person to face discrimination at the multinational home improvement retail corporation.
He pointed out that other Black and Brown individuals have shared numerous stories online describing “blatant racist practices” within the company. Gibson ended his remarks by sharing statements from himself and other plaintiffs who went after Home Depot, writing:
“Eric Mora, Manuel Hernandez, and I are 100% committed to standing up to The Home Depot in defense of our own civil rights and the civil rights of all who have been subjected to discriminatory practices and racial profiling of consumers.”
