Latto Puts Panties Up For Sale After ‘Panty Police’ Drama, Bid Rises To Over $90K

Latto is here making lemonade!

In what could be considered the slickest business move of the decade, the rapper is set to get the bag amid the ongoing “underwear police” drama with internet trolls. The troll has tried to shame the “It’s Giving” hitmaker for wearing the same pair of underwear on two different occasions. While Latto applauded the critics, he took it a step further by putting the underwear in question up for bid.

Barely 48 hours after she called out the trolls online, Latto has set the internet on fire again after putting the underwear in question up for sale on eBay. The rapper has linked eBay listings, which start at 99 cents, to his Instagram profile, driving traffic to his page.

The listing brought in about 105 bidders, giving the thong a fighting chance among other products. Unfortunately, the e-commerce platform rejected them for violating their terms against selling used underwear before any Latto fans could get their hands on them.

According to an update from TheShadeRoom, the final screenshot shows that the minimum bid for the thong reached $95,650 before removal. Latto stepped down the upload to reply, “It smells like a Frappuccino.”

The response instantly caught the attention of fans, who gave it over 13k likes and hundreds of comments, with many praising the songwriter for her business acumen.

The same fans also took to the 24-year-old’s announcement post to share their views on the ongoing drama. “Sell them with a ? trace in the middle and watch you make a million dollars,” one advised him, while another called him “smart,” and a third said he was “funny.”

A fourth person jokingly commented, “Isn’t anyone buying this Imao.., what’s the deal,” and a fifth praised, “He’s going to get a few HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS from about 5 bucks the true definition of capitalism.”

In a follow-up shared to her Instagram Story, Latto gave viewers a look at her underwear drawers, claiming that she got them from Target for $5 each. He counted five cheetah panties, which were “the only clean ones,” before showing off another pair in his stash.

The “B*tch From Da Souf” performer landed on a pair of white panties, telling viewers she might “throw them away” next time. The cheetah rope makes a comeback in subsequent posts that show it laid out on a flat surface. He wrote across the photo:

“I’ll wear a pair today and sell them tomorrow,” across the photo.

The Blast previously shared that a Twitter user shared a picture that started an online controversy. In the first frame of her tweet, she is seen in a pink tracksuit with “Juicy” written on the bottom, standing in front of a sink and a mirror.

The “Big Energy” rapper accessorized with a diamond necklace as seen in the mirror, pink sunglasses and a cheetah print thong. The underwear reappears in the next frame, which features Latto looking back at the camera while wearing an all-denim outfit consisting of a cropped jean jacket and matching pants.

Both the jacket and bottoms come with fur-like trim around the wrists, edges and sides. The 2022 BET Award winner for Best New Artist was caught in the middle as she posed next to a black vehicle with two passengers.

Latto looks back at the camera with a full face of makeup, including false eyelashes, nose contour and nude lipstick with dark liner. Extraathique asks, “Can’t afford new underwear?” above photo, warrants a slam from the Billboard Music Awards fan base.

“Y’all want her to be so ugly and it doesn’t work,” one claimed as another told the original poster that “washing machines exist.” A third person claims that social media is responsible for making people think others are “washing their clothes” and wearing them again.

However, the best applause remains Latto’s “Oh no, that’s the underwear cop” tweet. It has garnered 135k likes, over 7k retweets, and almost 2k replies praising it.
