Rep. Tough Lauren Boebert has broken up with the man she was seen groping on a date at a Colorado theater while enjoying a family-friendly performance of the musical “Beetlejuice.”
The self-described “eccentric” cop returned to Washington DC on Monday and told TMZ that “all future date nights have been canceled” between him and bar owner Quinn Gallagher.
“I learned to check party affiliation before you go on a date,” Boebert told the outlet, referring to Gallagher, who co-owns an Aspen bar that hosts drag shows.
Although he referred to his dating affiliation as a Democrat, the GOP supporter said the split had nothing to do with the various reports about Gallagher in recent days.
“He’s a great guy, and it’s a great time to go out and have dinner and enjoy part of the show,” he told TMZ.
“It has nothing to do with anything reported by anyone. Honestly, he was a private citizen and we parted amicably. A great man, a great friend and I wish him the best.”
Boebert, a staunch opponent of trans rights, was caught on camera last week smoking what appeared to be a vape and rubbing Gallagher’s crotch while he fondled her breasts.
In January, Gallagher’s Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar in Aspen hosts a “Winter Wonderland Burlesque & Drag Show.” In 2020, Aspen Gay Ski Week hosted “an evening of cocktails, appetizers and laughs” at Hooch, according to a Facebook post at the time.
In addition to groping, many viewers complained that Boebert was smoking, blocking their view by raising his arms, taking pictures with a flash and singing loudly.

The 36-year-old congressman and Gallagher were eventually ejected from the theater before the end of the show.
The lawmaker refused the usher before finally leaving the venue – but not before warning them he would report them on the incident.
“Do you know who I am?” he was quoted as saying.

In a statement Friday, Boebert apologized for her disrespectful behavior, noting that she had recently separated from Jayson, her husband of 18 years.
Boebert also admitted to smoking from an electronic device inside the theater, repeating earlier claims by his campaign team that other audience members mistook the “thick fog machine” for vape pen smoke.
A pregnant woman sitting behind the rowdy couple said she asked Boebert to stop smoking, prompting police to call him “a sad, miserable person.”
The mother of four and grandmother of one filed for divorce in May, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Gallagher’s relationship with Boebert is believed to have started several months ago.
Boebert is seeking a third term in Congress and is expected to face Democratic challenger Adam Frisch, whom he defeated by just 546 votes in last year’s midterm elections.
