Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert called a pregnant woman “a sad, miserable person” after she asked a Republican lawmaker to stop vaping during a “Beetlejuice” performance that she and her boyfriend were later kicked out of Sunday, according to reports.
The rant came after he told the expectant mother “no” when a fellow Denver theatergoer asked him to put down his vaping pen, the Denver Post reported Thursday.
“These people in front of us are outrageous,” the woman, who did not want to be named, told the paper.
“I’ve never seen anyone act like that before.”
The behavior of Boebert, 36, and her boyfriend — Democratic Aspen bar owner Quinn Gallagher, 46 — eventually got them kicked out of the Buell Theater after fellow audience members complained that the two were being loud.
