Lea Michele has been updating her fans and followers with the latest on the health of her son, Ever Leo Reich.
The actress exuded gratitude as she shared that the child is doing better amid an ongoing health battle that began in late March. The initial scare was so bad that she had to walk out of the Broadway revival of “Funny Girl” to be with her baby boy.
Lea Michele Admits Her Son’s ‘Long Road’ To Recovery In New Update
Although her family has been through a difficult time since Ever began dealing with an undisclosed health issue a month ago, Michele remains hopeful. The Billboard Women in Music awardee expressed her positivity when it came to following her PEOPLE at the Time 100 Gala, held in New York City on Wednesday, and stated:
“Always do good. He is healthy. We still have a bit of a long road ahead of us here, but he’s fine, thank God, and healthy.”

She was quick to point out that her “Funny Girl” castmate and her husband, Zandy Reich, have been supporting her since March, saying, “The most amazing support from my cast and my family. My husband is amazing; he’s here tonight.”
In one of the “Glee” alum’s final updates, which came earlier this month, she said she had run home to hug Ever when she took a break from the Broadway show. The 36-year-old, who played Fanny Brice in the rags-to-riches hit, wrote via her Instagram Story:
“Running to hug my baby at home between shows. It’s fast but worth it. ❤️.”
As it turns out, the sweet hug was preceded by the two-year-old’s ongoing problems, as Michele revealed that she has landed in the hospital again. She used a picture of the cute boy taking a nap along with bright writing to express her feelings.
“Today is a difficult day. As parents, we must be strong for our children. But sometimes you want to break down and cry (Hidden in the bathroom or closet is usually best. Today I choose [the] hospital bathroom),” the People’s Choice Award winner wrote.
The actress also mentioned what she’s learned from the struggle, writing, “These hard times show you what’s important and important in life and how much we have to be thankful for.” The Drama Desk Award nominee’s update ended with praise for her son and an admission that while she’s “going to be fine,” the situation “still hurts.”
