The Olympic medalist did not hesitate to share with her social media followers that she married the man she called the love of her life for the past few years, Jonathan Owens. He also shared that while they are getting married in court, a bigger wedding is coming soon.
“In a few weeks,” she and Owens will have a larger wedding with family and friends at an undisclosed location. The news was revealed after he engaged in a question and answer with his fans in an IG Story chat.
The followers didn’t mince words when they asked, “Are there bigger wedding plans?” Biles’ reception was full of excitement. “This is the most asked question!!!!! YESSSSSSS!!!!!” he erupted.
“We’re getting married in a few weeks,” Biles confirmed. He later revealed that the whole point of their court wedding was to be able to hop on the spot and get married in a luxury destination.

The athlete did not share where he would find the obstacle; destination weddings are usually somewhere warm, but you usually have to get married officially before getting on the plane. “We had to get married “legally” here in ourselves – because our wedding will be a destination wedding.”
He also revealed that they didn’t put their real wedding bands on their fingers to save them the day. “Our wedding bands are from Amazon. We save our real wedding bands for the big day.”
When asked, “If you were married in the US, would you still go to court before?” Biles guarantees that the court is only out of necessity. “No!! If we decide to get married here in the US, we will not do court.”

Biles was very candid about her special day, even sharing that her feet were too wide for her wedding shoes, and she had to change them for the rooftop shoot. As if the decorated athlete couldn’t be more relatable, he revealed that, like their random wedding bands, his shoes were also off Amazon (hence why they were “uncomfortable”).
Biles also noted that her wedding dress for court was from Selfie Leslie, and the replacement shoes were from Pretty Little Thing, “wide fit.” The day, for her and her professional footballer husband, was perfect, giving them energy for the bigger day.
Biles shared some small details about her upcoming wedding #2, like the fact that she’s suffering from OCD due to her uneven number of brides and grooms.
Owen’s had fewer groomsmen making it a 7 compared to an 8. “The low key drives me crazy because it’s not (the purpose of the photo) but Oh well,” he wrote. We can’t wait to see the stunning photos from this bride’s wedding, bridal party or not.
