McSweeney reiterated his concerns about Cohen’s behavior in a statement posted on social media on Friday. Opting for white text on a black background, the “Real Housewives of New York City” alum wrote:

“Andy Cohen gets a kick out of being mean to women, and Kate Middleton is no exception.”

He later shared his hope that Cohen would keep the momentum going by apologizing to the Princess of Wales “after she was forced to speak publicly about her cancer diagnosis.”

Concluding the poignant message shared via her Instagram Story, McSweeney declared, “People in power need to lead by example.”

In case you missed it, Cohen posted on X, the platform officially known as Twitter, after US media released footage showing Kate and her husband, Prince William, walking down a farm stand in Windsor, commenting, “That’s not Kate…”

He also allegedly addressed infidelity rumors between the Royal couple on his podcast earlier this week, and it came before Kate announced that she was dealing with cancer.

McSweeney Comes to Defense of Princess Amidst Controversy

McSweeney previously stood up for Princess Catherine when she uploaded a sweet photo of her smiling for the camera. Under the photo, the founder of Married to the Mob earnestly wrote:

“Please leave this woman alone. Yes she is a princess but she is also human. Have we learned nothing now? Has social media destroyed empathy?”

He added that he found the barrage of “jokes and gossip” aimed at someone who wanted privacy while struggling with his health “frustrating.” McSweeney concluded, “I hope he gets well too.”

As well as getting over 8k likes, the post also got followers talking in the comments, with one person typing:

“I totally agree. I don’t know why people joke about someone who might be hurt or lost. Every woman related to the family suffered from mental disorders. Very sad.”

Regarding McSweeney’s lawsuit against the father of two and Bravo, The Blast previously reported that he claims both parties fostered a toxic work environment where his mental health and alcohol use disorder were exploited.

He went on to assert that Cohen participated in cocaine use with the Housewives under his employment and that his habit of “using cocaine with his employees is well-known throughout the Real Housewives franchise.”

McSweeney emphasized that her drug use created an issue because it caused certain Housewives to receive preferential treatment.

Legal documents allege, “Cohen tended to provide Housewives with whom he used cocaine with better treatment and [makes them appear more agreeably [in] edit [of their shows].” However, the document does not identify the reality television star involved.

Cohen immediately denied the allegations through his legal counsel and demanded that “The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip” star apologize to him once and for all. They stated in the letter:

“To be clear: these claims are false. Mr. Cohen has never used cocaine with any cast members on any Real Housewives show or with any other Bravo employees. The absence of any reasonable basis for making such an allegation is confirmed by your own admission.”

They added that he “issued an immediate public retraction and apologized to Mr. Cohen,” claiming that the longer he avoided doing so, “the more damage Mr. Cohen suffered.”

Meanwhile, McSweeney did not publicly address his lawsuit against the television host until he appeared on Wednesday’s episode of American Addiction Centers’ “Addiction Talk.”

After revealing that he’s “in a really good place right now,” the 41-year-old stated:

“Even though it’s hard to stand up to a very powerful entity, and for people to also disagree with me or, you know, come to me and get a kickback and all that stuff, I don’t care, because this is the truth. I have it on my side and my intentions are really good.”

Despite his good mood, McSweeney admitted how painful it was for him to see the negative reaction to his claims against Cohen on social media. As he says, “It’s still not a fun experience to have people come up to you or deal with the situation I’m in.”
