Earlier on Thursday, the teenager’s famous father broke his silence and expressed his gratitude on social media. Taking to his Instagram Story to share his first public comments since Bronny’s hospitalization, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar wrote:
“I want to thank the countless people who sent my family love and prayers. We feel you and I am very grateful. Everyone is doing their best. We have our family together, safe and sound, and we feel your love. There will be more to say when we are ready but I want to let everyone know how much you support us all!”

As LeBron’s son, it’s no surprise that he would join his father in his latest business venture. As The Blast reported, the four-time NBA champion previously signed a lifetime deal with Nike in 2015, producing a successful line of iconic shoes, including the latest addition, the Nike LeBron 20.
With Bronny’s talent and his father’s longstanding relationship with the brand, it was almost inevitable that the college basketball player would land a deal with Nike. As a graduate of Sierra Canyon, he is undoubtedly proud of this accomplishment, and he released a heartfelt statement expressing his gratitude and excitement for the future. He wrote at the time:
“For as long as I can remember, Nike has been part of my family. Getting the opportunity to work with them and continue my family’s legacy on the court and in the community is wild — it means a lot to me.”
As mentioned earlier, the NIL bid includes four other very talented athletes from different Nike-sponsored schools. The sportswear mogul explained in their statement that each player was selected based on their merit and unique contribution to the world of basketball.
This sponsorship offer signifies Nike’s commitment to supporting and nurturing promising young athletes, nurturing their growth and potential on and off the court. In their own statement, the world’s largest supplier of athletic footwear and apparel stated:
“Each athlete is recognized as a player who paves the way for the next generation on and off the court. These athletes are pushing Nike to think about new ways the game can break down barriers, bring people together, build communities and shape the future.”
