Lil Wayne has voiced his disapproval of his wax figure at the Hollywood Wax Museum after a recent TikTok video of the strange-looking wax figure went viral.
His statement came shortly after Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson addressed skin color issues with the Grévin Museum wax figure in Paris, promising to update it.

In a recent post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Lil Wayne expressed his honest thoughts about his wax replica at the Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
In his post, the 41-year-old rapper wrote, “Sorry wax museum but that’s not me! You tried and I appreciate the effort.”
While the “Annihilate” hitmaker’s wax figure has been on display since at least the summer of 2022, a recent TikTok video brought it into the viral spotlight.
This Lil Wayne wax figure looks less like him than the first time I did acid and I stupidly opened my phone and saw a picture of a bird and lil wayne and for a second I thought their faces changed together. pic.twitter.com/u4YdwPo2vd

One fan wrote in reaction to the viral clip, “This is not even funny, so disrespectful to a living icon and legend. Smh. That gave me T lanez.”
Another added, “This Lil Wayne wax figure looks less like him than the first time I did acid and I stupidly opened my phone and saw a picture of Birdman and Lil Wayne and for a second I thought their faces changed together.”
Others also suggested the statue resembled artists like Toosii and Jacquees, prompting Toosii to jokingly quip, “Man, that— don’t look like me even with my grown hair.”
Dwayne Johnson Says He’ll Contact Grévin Museum To ‘Update’ His Wax Figure
MEGA
The Wayne wax figure controversy comes after Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson addressed skin color issues with his wax figure at the Grévin Museum in Paris, France.
On Instagram, Johnson shared a video by comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr., humorously criticizing a wax model of the WWE star at the Grévin Museum for not matching his skin tone exactly.
In the video, Jefferson quips how Johnson’s wax figures more closely resemble “pebbles,” David Beckham, and members of the British royal family. He added, “Is this how you all felt when you lost the Little Mermaid? I understand.”
The “Black Adam” actor expressed his amusement in the caption, admitting he was “legitimately belly laughing” at the “The Little Mermaid” reference.
He continued: “For the record, I will ask my team to contact our friends at the Grevin Museum, in Paris France so that we can work to ‘update’ my wax figure here with some important details and improvements – starting with my skin color. ” “And next time I’m in Paris, I’ll stop by and have a drink by myself,” he added.
Grévin Museum Pledges To Repair Dwayne Johnson’s Wax Figure
Since the backlash, the Grévin Museum has removed their Instagram post featuring Johnson’s wax figure. They also addressed the issue in a post, writing, “Our artists are already working to improve Dwayne Johnson’s waxwork. Your feedback is always valuable to us.”
In a statement to Deadline, the Grévin Museum responded to Johnson’s concerns, acknowledging issues with the skin color of his wax figures. “Dwayne Johnson is right and we’re aware of that and will obviously fix it as soon as possible and send him a new picture when it’s done,” they shared.
“We are waiting for him when he will come to Paris and the Grévin Wax Museum to celebrate with a glass of champagne,” they added.
Travis Baker Shows His Wax Likeness At Madame Tussauds Las Vegas
On Sunday, Travis Baker showed off his Madame Tussauds Las Vegas “clone” on Instagram. The Blink-182 drummer posted a playful carousel of photos, encouraging fans to visit his wax figure.
In the photo, Barker posed with his likeness, the figure dressed in a black leather jacket with a silver chain. She shared moments like kissing the figure, snickering, covering her face, sticking her tongue next to the clone’s face, and appearing to scream into the figure’s ear.
The “First Date” singer wrote in the caption, “Let’s say hi to my clone.”
While Barker’s wax figure looks just like him, Johnson and Wayne’s sculptures join a long list of celebrity replicas that look nothing like their famous friends.
