Lili Reinhart is finally saying goodbye to “Riverdale” after seven seasons and seven years on the show. The actress said goodbye with an emotional Instagram post, which featured a photo of her character, Betty, standing in front of a window.
In the caption, she wrote, “Goodbye, Riverdale. It was an honor to grow up here.” Reinhart has been a member of the “Riverdale” cast since its premiere in 2017, and now the show ends its seventh season on August 23.
The “Look Both Ways” actress has appeared in several films, but her role as Betty Cooper is her breakout film role. The series is loosely adapted from the popular Archie comics, with KJ Apa playing the role of Archie himself. Despite her success in other roles, Reinhart is attached to Betty, which is evident from her Instagram page.
He Shared Multiple BTS Photos
Since the show was confirmed to end in season 7, Reinhart has shared many behind-the-scenes shots from the “Riverdale” set. One post featured a carousel of images from the set and included a violin emoji to mimic sad violin music. He captioned it, “The beginning of the end.”

Actress Madelaine Petsch, who plays Cheryl Blossom, shared a photo of her character sitting on the floor in the hallways of Riverdale High. She captioned it, “I walked down this aisle for the last time yesterday. I have so much to say and so many feelings but I can’t see my phone through my tears so now I’m just going to say thank you and goodbye Riverdale.”
Camila Mendes who plays Veronica Lodge also shared an emotional video clip on Instagram, featuring all the cast from the hit show dancing and being silly on set. Attached to the clip is the song “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor, which depicts Mendes’ caption that reads, “Farewell Riverdale. We survived.”

During the 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Reinhart talked about the end of the show. He said, per Us Weekly“I obviously want to see a happy ending for Betty, knowing that she’s going to be okay – an optimistic, light note.”
At the time, the “Chemical Hearts” star didn’t know the plot for Betty in the final season but said she just wanted her to be happy. He said, “And [that] you have an idea that things will calm down for him in the best possible way.”
Later that year, Reinhart spoke again ET about being sad to leave “Riverdale” because it was “really the end of an era of my life.” He also called the series a “big chapter in my life” and said he “misses my cast a lot.”
The actor added, “It’s the last time we’re all going to collectively shoot something together, so, I think we’re just going into this season knowing that we’re going to really try to appreciate it.”

Reinhart recently debuted a new tattoo on her Instagram Story. The “Hustlers” star revealed that the tattoo was dedicated to her late grandmother, who passed away in 2018. The IG post included a black and white photo of the acronym “SWAK” tattooed on her arm.
Reinhart shared in the caption that “Nana once wrote this on the outside of the envelope. ‘Sealed with a kiss.'” She added, “Miss you, Nana. Glad I have your sweet handwriting with me forever.” The actress also showed off her rose tattoo, which is lower on her forearm.
