Linda Evangelista is one of four supermodels featured on the cover of Vogue’s September issue. In her interview with the fashion magazine, she discussed getting old and said she doesn’t mind because “aging gets us where we want to be.” For Evangelista, what he wants is “a long life.”

She said, “(Legendary makeup artist) Kevyn Aucoin is terrified of wrinkles, and he’s never had them. I want wrinkles – but I Botox my forehead, so I’m a hypocrite – but I want to be old.”

Evangelista’s admission that she is still getting Botox treatment was surprising as many fans thought she would stop the cosmetic treatment. The 58-year-old spent six years out of the public eye after suffering a rare reaction to the CoolSculpting procedure. The treatment was intended to reduce his fat cells, but they did the opposite and enlarged them.

Evangelista previously revealed to Vogue that his injuries from the backlash left him “very depressed.” She shared that she “hated” herself and said the injury ruined her modeling career, leaving her with random things “popping out” of her body.

He stated, per Daily Mail, “If I’d known the side effects might include losing your livelihood, and you’d be so depressed that you’d hate yourself… I wouldn’t have taken that risk. Am I mentally healed? Nope. But I’m very grateful for the support I get from my friends and my industry… you won’t see me in a swimsuit, that’s for sure.”

Since the botched procedure, Evangelista has undergone two liposuction procedures to correct the effects of her reaction. In September 2022, the model announced that she had filed a lawsuit against cosmetics company Zeltiq Aesthetics for her severe injuries caused by improper treatment. The case has now been settled on undisclosed terms.

Evangelista explained to Vogue then she decided on the CoolSculpting treatment because of its TV commercial. He says, “Those CoolSculpting commercials run all the time, on CNN, on MSNBC, over and over again, and they’ll ask, ‘Do you like what you see in the mirror?’

The supermodel stated that she felt the ad “spoke” to her and gave her solutions to issues like stubborn fat. They claimed that the treatment was “no downtime, no surgery,” so she continued, and “it backfired.”

After years of private life, Evangelista has slowly returned to the public scene and the modeling world. In February of this year, the model announced on social media that she was done hiding and “living in shame.”
