Actress Lindsay Lohan’s return to the world of acting received a warm welcome from her fans. The newlywed star has been on hiatus since 2014 but broke the long-running streak by appearing in the Netflix movie “Falling For Christmas.”
Lohan recently opened up about her decision to return to acting, admitting that she misses working on set and making movies for her fans. The actor also admitted that he was nervous and excited about filming his part in the romantic comedy.

In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Lohan discusses her comeback in the film industry after nearly a decade away from it. He stars in Netflix’s romantic comedy “Falling for Christmas,” which he signed in May 2021.
“I felt it was time, and it was only a matter of time before I found the right script, and I found it with ‘Falling for Christmas,’” Lohan said of her decision to take on the Netflix character.
After spending so many years away, Lohan said she misses “being on set” and “making movies” for her fans and audience in general. He revealed that this prompted him to return to Hollywood.
As for the complexities involved in finalizing the show, the “Mean Girls” star shared that everything “worked out perfectly” for her, seemingly hinting that her transition from not working to now starring on the streaming giant was smooth.
He Was Nervous On His First Day Back On Set

Elsewhere in the interview, Lohan reflects on her experience returning to the set to resume, once again, the career she started as a child.
“The first day on set, I’m always nervous on any set I do,” said the “Freaky Friday” star. He later admitted that coming back this time exacerbated the nervous attacks he usually had.
Despite feeling nervous at the time, Lohan shared that she was excited to continue filming.
He added, “I don’t know if I’m annoying! I’m so excited to be there…I feel so grateful… It’s all been so much fun.”
In November 2021, filming for “Falling For Christmas” began in Utah, with filmmaker Janeen Damian leading the production. On October 7, Netflix released the official trailer for the film, which was followed by its release on November 10, 2022.

In “Falling For Christmas,” Lohan stars as Sierra Belmont, while singer ChordOverstreet plays her character’s love interest, Jake. The actor previously informed fans what to expect from the film in February.
He said, per Vogue, “It’s a really fun, uplifting romantic comedy. And it’s actually very funny. When I read the script, and when we started shooting it, I didn’t realize how physically funny we were going to be. There’s a lot of physical comedy in it, which I really like to do—it’s one of my favorite things to do, which I haven’t been able to do in a long time.”
Since its release on the streaming platform, the film has received mixed reviews, with many critics slamming the script for not offering anything unique. However, Lohan was praised for her performance.

In the meantime, Lohan does not plan to return to rest following her latest film. The actress is slated to star in two more pictures for Netflix as part of the deal she signed when she made her comeback.
His next feature for the streaming giant comes in another romantic comedy, “Irish Wish,” which Damian also directed. Production for the film began in September, ahead of its release in 2023.
As for future projects, Lohan only wants to work on a film similar to “Falling For Christmas.”
He told Vogue, “This first film was perfect for me, because I really wanted to do something happy and fun and family oriented. I like to do that. I miss watching romantic comedies, and less horror [genre]. I want to make sure it’s happy.”
