Now, Curtis is responding to Lohan’s comments.

Speaking to “TODAY” on Monday, November 14, the veteran actor revealed he’s “definitely starting to talk about” making a sequel to the 2003 film.

“There must be someone chatting,” he said. “’Freaky Friday’ is great, it has so much nostalgia to it. Young people love it, people who grew up with it now are mothers, they show it to their children.”

Lohan explained how the whole interaction about the sequel went down with Curtis.

“Well, she must be a grandmother,” the 63-year-old screen star insists. “I mean, I’ve got to be a grandma. And just seeing Lindsay trying to be a grandma makes me laugh, and then me being a grandma trying to take care of little kids makes me laugh, so, I guess it’s going to be something, or it’s not- what, we don’t know yet.”

Although the future of the “Freaky Friday” sequel is still unknown, Curtis said he is still in touch with the newlywed Lohan.
