Lindsie Chrisley Wants Nothing To Do With Family’s Upcoming Documentary

Lindsie Chrisley wants no part in documenting her family’s turmoil!

The daughter of Todd Chrisley and Teresa Terry has spoken out about her decision not to take part in an upcoming documentary about her family’s legal troubles involving her father and stepmother, Julie. The couple’s ordeal began when they were convicted of fraud in November 2022.

They were then reported to prison to serve their sentences – Todd in Pensacola, Florida, facing 12 years, and Julie in Lexington, Kentucky, for seven years. Now, Lindsie has revealed that taking part in the documentary would be “unfair” to both of them, who are unable to defend themselves.

Despite the difficulty of being locked up, Todd and Julie remain optimistic, confident in the possibility of having their convictions overturned as they continue their appeals.

Before that, however, Lindsie addressed the rumored documentary detailing her family’s woes in the latest episode of her podcast, “Southern Tea with Lindsie Chrisley.” To that end, he revealed that he had turned down an offer to participate in the project out of concern for the well-being of his father and stepmother.

“I’ve just decided that I’m not going to take part in that one thing; I don’t know what happened. What might they document that might be relevant that no one else knows about?” he stated. Due to the circumstances, the 33-year-old declared that being involved with the documentary was “not really worth” his time.

He also claims it’s “unfair to the public” because “they’re going to be documenting people who don’t have the potential to defend themselves if they have to defend themselves.” Lindsie initially talked about the upcoming project on Instagram last week, typing:

“I would like to address the rumors floating around about a documentary that the family may have been approached to participate in. I respectfully decline and do not intend to participate in any project that does not allow everyone’s voice to be heard. We all have stories, there are always multiple sides and the truth lies in the middle.”

While his words emphasize his stance, fans may need clarification on the television personality’s contradictory statements. Although he claimed to be there to support his family, Instagram Stories previously revealed that he had restrained his siblings during arguments to avoid confrontation.

In her candid confession, Lindsie admits the mistake, admits her decision to block everyone and thinks it’s her fault. However, he played down the severity of the situation by declaring, “No drama, everything is fine. We are all fine.”

As The Blast notes, the South Carolina-born blonde has gone back and forth about how she intends to handle Todd and Julie’s tax charges, ultimately deciding that staying away from them is better for her mental well-being.

Amidst Lindsie figuring out how to deal with the family drama, she has also expressed her deep concern for her son, Jackson, who is also struggling. In an emotional Instagram post shared recently, the doting mother bares her soul, sharing the ups and downs of her journey. Alongside some photos capturing precious moments over the past few months, he wrote:

“On our way to the beach, I saw Jackson looking at the sign for Pensacola, Florida, and started looking around without saying much to me. I noticed he was always watching my body language and facial expressions. He asked me if he could open the sunroof to “feel the air of his papa. The difficult decisions parents face every day are not talked about enough.”

Continuing, she expressed the difficulty of trying to do what she believes is best for her son without knowing how everything will turn out, especially considering how much Jackson misses his grandparents. The single mom added that the 11-year-old also sent text messages to a phone that Todd and Julie no longer have when she turned her phone off at night, which really broke her heart.

“Knowing my decision regarding Jackson visiting my parents in the prison environment was based on the court’s decision regarding their appeal caused more pain. I believe God has a plan,” said Lindsie again.

In closing, she noted that Jackson will eventually join her on her podcast so she can talk about what she has done while providing a safe space for her to share her feelings about her grandparents’ incarceration.
