“Friends” star Lisa Kudrow claims she believes prescription drugs are how her co-star, Matthew Perry, died while in a hot tub.
The 60-year-old actor is also reportedly planning to adopt Perry’s dog following his tragic death.
Lisa Kudrow Claims Medication May Be How Matthew Perry Died

A source close to Lisa Kudrow spoke on her behalf, claiming that she thinks her “Friends” co-star may have died from her medication.
“While no one wants to believe it’s a drug – prescribed or not – it’s certainly a thought in their mind,” a source close to Kudrow told DailyMail.com.
“They thought he must have taken something that didn’t mix with the warm water,” the source added.
It is important to note that drowning was reported as the cause of death, however, but this has yet to be confirmed by the coroner’s office. An autopsy has been completed, and a toxicology report will provide more information on Perry’s death.

The actor struggled with addiction for a long time, however, it wasn’t until his memoirs that he really opened up and let down his walls.
“[I was] at my highest point in ‘Friends,’ the highest point of my career, an iconic moment on that iconic show,” the actor while promoting his memoir last year. “When you’re a drug addict, everything is math. I don’t do it to feel high or to feel good. I’m definitely not a party person; I just want to sit on my couch, take five Vicodin, and watch a movie. That was heaven for me. It’s not anymore.”
Perry said he had been clean for 18 months in that time, stating, “I probably spent $9 million or something trying to get sober.”
Drowning has been named as a possible cause of death, however this has yet to be confirmed. An autopsy has been scheduled and will answer more questions about Perry’s death.

According to the source, Lisa Kudrow plans to attend Perry’s funeral, and may take her dog.
Alfred, Perry’s dog, no longer has an owner because the actor lives alone. Matthew Perry bought Alfred three years ago and introduced the fur baby to the world on Instagram.
