It appears that Lizzo is getting support from some tour staff amid the ongoing lawsuit.
Three of his former backup dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, have alleged that the “Truth Hurts” singer forced them to attend an adult entertainment show in Amsterdam and subjected them to weight shaming, among other allegations of inappropriate behavior.

According to court documents, 18 members of Lizzo’s touring company stood with the singer and disputed the claims made by three of her former dancers. In their lawsuit, the three dancers claimed that they would have faced punishment if they had not partied with Lizzo when asked.
However, dancer Kiara Mooring wrote in her statement that these claims are untrue, writing, “This claim also makes no sense because many dancers (including myself) did not go to Bananabar that night and we still had a job to dance with Lizzo. “
Dancer Melissa Locke claims in her lawsuit that two backup dancers – Arianna and Noelle – never said they were uncomfortable when they went to an adult entertainment venue in Amsterdam. “They never said they felt uncomfortable or stressed. They were so excited about the great night they had,” Melissa wrote.

“I remember telling them, ‘That sounds like a lot of fun, I wish you had woken me up to go with you.’ They agreed it was a fun night and told me they were out in the Red Light District afterwards. They are not complaining or angry in any way,” he added.
In the lawsuit, Arianna Davis claims the “Good As H—” singer shamed her because of her size. However, the other two dancers did not believe the claim. Dancer Asia Banks wrote, “I was the biggest dancer on the tour. Lizzo always went out of her way to make me feel safe and confident in my body, including making sure I was comfortable in every costume for the show.”
Dancer Alani Walker added, “In my experience, there is absolutely no body shaming on tour. I have experienced racial discrimination, sexual harassment and genital mutilation in this industry, but never while working with Lizzo. In fact, Lizzo’s tour feels like the opposite of many of the negative experiences I’ve had as a dancer.”

Bassist Zuri Appleby also said that Lizzo never embarrasses Arianna. “On the contrary, everyone on the tour really cared about Davis, not because he had gained weight, but because he was negligent about his performance, his cleanliness, and his health,” Zuri wrote in the declaration.
Dancer Chawnta Van also stated in her statement that she did not witness racism on tour, saying that Lizzo “will never tolerate any racism on tour” and praised her for empowering Black women around the world.
News of the tour staff announcement was first reported by TMZ.

I love Lizzo. Not saying I don’t believe ppl when bad things happen, but I’ve had dancers abused on my watch in ways I didn’t know about until later. Damn it. But loyalty is important to me. Lizzo was nice to me and everyone else for a decade before she was “cool”, and…

“Lizzo was nice to me and everyone else for a decade before she was ‘cool,’ and she reached out to me when no one cared,” Grimes wrote. “I’ve only seen exemplary behavior from him, especially when everyone hates me and he’s on top of the world. There is no reason for him to check in, other than to be a good person.”
Grimes added a small disclaimer to her post, writing, “Just my two cents,” adding, “I remember when she first burst out being so happy because I’ve never known someone so amazing to find fame in the music industry. I’m hard to believe he would change radically. [I’m] tired of a culture that tries to destroy its greatest good. Lizzo is amazing.”
