According to legal representatives, the 35-year-old former backup dancer, who is suing him for sexual harassment, sees his intention to retaliate as a worrying “intimidation” tactic.

In a statement to Page Sixattorney Ron Zambrano, who represents plaintiffs Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, wrote, “Lizzo’s threat to retaliate for malicious prosecution is a sneaky attempt to intimidate and depress all victims of workplace harassment. ”

He noted that the approach of the “Coconut Oil” singer’s team, characterized by “intimidation tactics, bullying and victim shaming,” resonates with behavior observed in the entertainment industry. The lawyer emphasized that workers often feel forced to endure such treatment for “access and success.”

He claims that the “Truth Hurts” artists are trying to dissuade potential victims from stepping forward with similar claims. Zambrano also believes that “Her team is only trying to suppress the truth and hide her hypocrisy in publicizing her brand as one of empowerment and body positivity while denying women personally their empowerment.”

The lawyer emphasized that the “Good as Hell” artiste’s threat is not “empowering women; they are actually marginalizing them.” He also emphasized the prevalence of such behavior in the entertainment industry, explaining that while common, it “remains morally wrong and illegal.”

In case you missed it, on Wednesday, Lizzo’s attorney, Marty Singer, revealed his intention to file a lawsuit against the three women. He also shared pictures with PEOPLEshows the plaintiff reportedly backstage with cast members of the Crazy Horse topless cabaret show in Paris on March 5, 2023.

This follows their initial lawsuit claiming the “Rumors” artiste had forced them to attend the show during his tour. Regarding other clubs where they were allegedly pressured to attend and interact with nude performers, Singer said in a statement:

“These images show the three plaintiffs having fun backstage after a topless performance taken after their February 2023 visit to Bananenbar in Amsterdam that they complain about in their lawsuit.”

He mentioned that after the Paris event, the three dancers returned to their roles on tour with the flutist. The following month, Davis reportedly sent in an audition tape for Lizzo’s TV show “Watch Out for the Big Grrrls,” expressing her aspirations to “follow in his footsteps.”

The legal representative pointed out that once his audition video became public, he tried to justify his positive statements about the songwriter by stating that most of his allegations were related to the events that followed.

Singer asserts that “irrefutable photos and videos, along with strong additional evidence,” reveal a stark discrepancy between the claims in their claims and the factual reality. He stated firmly, “The claim is false. Lizzo intends to sue for malicious prosecution after she is successful and has this false claim dismissed.”

The “Oblivion” artist emphasized that Lizzo had shown kindness for years before becoming famous and proved the exemplary behavior of the Primetime Emmy Award winner.
