Lizzo continues to bear the consequences of the various allegations against her.

Leaving aside the specific reason for the cancellation of the 2023 version of the annual event, organizers expressed their excitement about the festival returning in 2024 and declared that concertgoers would be refunded for their tickets.
Prior to the annulment, Lizzo had spoken in her own defense about the allegations against her. Taking to Instagram, the “2 Be Loved” hitmaker released a statement typed in black text on a white background that read:
“The last few days have been very difficult and very frustrating. My work ethic, morals and respect have all been questioned. My character has been criticized. Normally I choose not to respond to false allegations, but this is as unbelievable as it sounds and too outrageous not to address.”
Calling the allegations a “sensational story,” the 35-year-old wrote that his former employees “have publicly admitted that they were told their behavior during the visit was inappropriate and unprofessional.”

As the lengthy comment unfolded, Lizzo reiterated that while he never intended to make any of his team members “uncomfortable,” he sometimes had to “make tough decisions.” He then wraps up:
“I am hurt but I will not let this overshadow the good work I am doing in the world. I would like to thank everyone who has reached out to lift me up during this difficult time.”

X was quick to blast, with one netizen replying, “one thing about sza, she don’t play about lizzo,” and another citing, “They are all scams they don’t care about anything that actually matters only what other people tell them is right or wrong.”
“Sza, we’re here to play for our dear @lizzo but the reality is, people full of hate will always be around AND they’ll try hard to make sure they’re stronger than love?? All we can do is show the love that continued,” said a third fan.
