Los Angeles Lakers player Kendrick Nunn has filed for an emergency protective order against his former teammate.

The Lakers point guard claimed his former teammate had made terroristic threats against Nunn and tried to blackmail the player in addition to threatening his family. The man has been identified as Miles Harrison.
In documents obtained by The Blast, Kendrick Nunn asked a judge to grant a protective order against his friend to stay 300 yards away from himself, his partner Blen Mekonnen, and their two children. Kendrick said his family needed protection because “Miles’ threats made me fear he could harm me and my family.”
The incident allegedly took place on October 15 this year. Miles has since been arrested and charged.

The athlete through his legal team will not defend his family or himself feel unsafe and take the necessary actions to continue life as usual. Miles was formally charged nearly a week later on October 21. His charges included, three counts: stalking, making criminal threats, and extortion.
Miles pleaded not guilty to the charges and his preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 12 just before the holidays.
In addition to Nunn wanting Miles away from her and her family, she also asked the judge to keep her former friend away from her home and workplace. Nunn also explained that he wasn’t sure if Miles had any guns, an obvious fear of him. Fortunately for Nunn and his family, Miles is now in custody.

As we mentioned, Nunn is demanding that Miles can’t come to his house or near his place of work… his place of work is wherever the popular basketball team is. Does this mean, if Miles gets the chance, he won’t be able to attend while this protective order is in place?
That’s what it sounds like! How can you screw yourself up? The team obviously travels for work and makes appearances in that capacity as well so it will be interesting to see something like that play out.
Kendrick Nunn Has A Lot At Stake

Nunn is more concerned about the safety of his girlfriend Blen and her children. She and Blen have been together for over a year now and things seem to be going well. She is often seen attending his games to entertain him.
Nunn’s two children, one from a previous relationship that made him a single full-time father and one with Blen, a popular R&B singer in Ethiopia. He also needs to focus on protecting his career, he won’t be able to stay focused and keep a clear mind if he has to watch his back on and off the basketball court.
