John Kerry may have to cut his own emissions.
The Biden Administration’s climate envoy was discussing US policy on coal-fired power plants at the Climate Change Conference in Dubai on Sunday when Kerry might have unleashed a wind energy boom.
The former secretary of state was speaking next to Becky Anderson, Managing Editor of CNN Abu Dhabi, and Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, when Bronx cheers suddenly erupted mid-sentence.
“There should be no more coal-fired power plants allowed anywhere in the world,” Kerry began before launching into an anti-coal tirade.
“I find myself becoming more and more militant because I don’t understand how adults in positions of responsibility can avoid the responsibility of taking on the things that kill people every day…”

Before Kerry could finish her thoughts, the harsh sound of flowing gas could be heard through the microphone. The crowd applauded, apparently oblivious to the crude farce.
CNN’s Anderson — sitting to Kerry’s right and within striking distance of potential bodily functions — quickly jerked his head to the side and inconspicuously put his hand over his mouth, presumably in case of a foul odor seeping into the climate panel.
Birol, the energy executive, just nodded his head and narrowed his eyes in contemplation.

“And the reality is that the climate crisis and the health crisis are one and the same,” Kerry continued, without pause.
Larry O’Connor of Townhall Media said that Kerry’s claim of flatulence is an embarrassment to the US.
“The biggest problem is, throughout this exchange, representing us, the United States, he’s farting,” O’Connor said. “He let loose with a flat stomach on the international stage.
The expert said the evidence was overwhelming and Kerry must answer for his actions.
“He should lose his job immediately,” he said. “John Kerry farts.”
