Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson rose to fame on the second season of the Netflix dating show, “Love Is Blind.”
The pair are one of the few couples to leave the pod, say “I Do” and begin life as a married couple.
Unfortunately, their love story lasted a little over a year, but the two have called it quits and are going through a divorce.

At first, things between the couple seemed civil and mutual; however, Thompson revealed that the former couple are no longer on speaking terms.
During the interview with Us Weekly, Thompson explained, “We’re still going through it. I am well. I’m not going to lie and say, ‘Oh, it’s easy,’ or, ‘I’m doing my best,’ but I’m doing well. Losing a relationship that is so meaningful and with someone you love and cherish so much is not easy.”
Things have been gloomy ever since the couple announced their separation on their respective social media accounts.
Thompson admitted that his social media activity caused them to stop talking to each other.

Ruhl recently shared a secret post to Instagram about not letting a partner make you feel “not enough.” She didn’t tag Thompson directly, but considering their relationship ended in March and she’s not currently dating anyone… it’s pretty clear who the post was meant for.
“For my own mental health and healing, I had to create boundaries with him that I would no longer engage with,” the Netflix personality admitted. “I choose to leave the past behind me and focus on all the things I have experienced. I don’t want to live in the past. I don’t want to be in any kind of position where I have to defend myself.”
No “Catastrophic” Events.
He went on to tell the outlet, “The sad thing about all of this is that there was no disaster. [that caused the split]. We just don’t get along. I know in my heart that I did the best I could in the relationship, and I gave it everything I had. I think it’s unfortunate that you have to underestimate or stay stuck in this place.”
There are rumors floating around that Ruhl seems to be buying it. The rumor going around is about Thompson doing an IG Live to “talk” about Ruhl and the other women from the second season of “Love Is Blind.”
He said the rumor was just… a rumor with no validity.
“I know that hurting people hurts people, and I know that this is very difficult,” explained Thompson. “My heart hurts when I see that, because I don’t know who said I was going to do Instagram. If you follow me on social media, I don’t talk about the show. I’m not talking about actors. What I talk about is something that is important to me and my journey, because I hope that maybe someone can learn something from it, or that I can help someone in their moment by watching me through my time.”

Thompson admits that some days are better than others, but she’s not ready to start dating or pursue a new relationship.
“Dating seems like the furthest thing from my mind right now,” she explains. “To be honest I don’t know where to start. I think it’s something that I’m just going to keep moving forward and then let it come to me when the time comes.”
