NFL star Tom Brady opened up about why he missed 11 days of practice earlier this month.
Although he had announced his retirement earlier this year, he later backtracked and revealed he would play another season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
But fans are worried there may be drama behind the scenes as he missed almost two weeks of training for unspecified reasons.

Speaking to reporters Saturday after his only preseason game (via PEOPLE), the 45-year-old explained why he’s taking some time off from practice ahead of what many expect to be his final season in the NFL.
“Everyone has different situations that they face, and we all have unique challenges in our lives,” he told reporters. “I’m 45, man. There’s a lot going on, so you just have to try and figure life out as best you can. You know, it’s an ongoing process.”

On Monday, ESPN Tampa Bay Buccaneers reporter Jennai Laine took part Twitter to give a first look at Tom Brady practicing on the field. “You can feel the difference when he’s out there,” he wrote. “There’s a noticeable mood swing with everyone when he goes on the field.”

Tom Brady Reportedly Taking ‘Personal Time’ During 11-Day Absence

Earlier this month, a source close to the star athlete told PEOPLE that he is not injured and is just taking personal time away from training. According to Tampa Bay head coach Todd Bowles, Brady and the rest of the team discussed his absence before they started practice in July.
“We’re taking this time because he wants to come in and get some chemistry with the guys and go through two weeks of training camp, knowing he’s not going to play the first two games,” he explained.
“He didn’t want to take a representative from Blaine [Gabbert] and Kyle [Trask] as well as Griff [Ryan Griffin] as far as going into these next two games,” Bowles continued. “And it’s something he’s going to have to handle.”

According to Pro Football Talk, Brady may miss a few days of playing football to spend time with his wife, Gisele Bündchen, at an “exclusive resort” in the Bahamas. According to the website, “His commitment to family and having a private life is at the heart of this absence from football, and there is no medical emergency, as suspected, or other reasons.”
However, other fans have speculated that there may be another reason that Tom Brady has missed several days of practice.

Rumors are swirling that Tom Brady may have recorded a performance or two for season 8 of “The Masked Singer.” As TMZ reports, filming on the show ended on August 20th and Tom Brady appeared at base camp on August 22nd, so that made some fans suspicious, even though Brady has denied being on the show.

On the day he arrived at training camp, Tom Brady tweeted that he “wasn’t at the masked singer last week. Even with the mask on.” Many fans were quick to point out that just because he wasn’t on “The Masked Singer” last week doesn’t mean he doesn’t make an appearance at all.

The show’s official Twitter account also commented on the post, commenting, “The mask is a good look for you” along with a winking face emoji.

They later followed it up with a tweet of their own, saying, “Our lips are sealed.”
Fans will just have to wait and find out when “The Masked Singer” season 8 premieres on Wednesday, September 21 at 8pm on Fox.
